Fieldcraft Does Anyone Krylon Camo Their Rifles Anymore?

I do too. Easy to repaint when it gets too scratched.

    Reloading .308 steps

Really? That's the first I've heard of a bad thing about SS pin tumbling. I would think that with consistency being a big key in PRS, having absolutely no carbon in the neck, would be better than having a slow buildup over time of carbon deposits in there....

    Reloading .308 steps

How do I deprime without resizing? I don't want to have to adjust the deprimer each time. Am I going to have to buy another resize/deprime die or is there a die that just deprimes? ETA: I didn't know there was a decapping die... So it doesn't touch the sides of the case at all, just pops...

    Reloading .308 steps

I've been reloading for a few years now, and have been getting about .5-.6 MOA with my R700, SPS, XLR, using 165g A-Max and 44.0g of Varget. I have a Dillon XL650 but use it for 5.56, and pistol calibers only. I use my single stage press for precision rifle. It's been going great but I thought...

    XLR Chassis Stock

Mine weighs around 13.5 pounds as set up in this picture. (Now sporting an Atlas bipod though) ETA: this is a .308 Rem 700 SPS Tactical, 20" barrel, Vortex 6-24x50 scope, TPS steel rings and base.

    XLR Chassis Stock

I don't have a Tikka, but I do have the Carbon chassis on a R700, and love it. I would suggest the folder option, if for nothing else than cleaning. I didn't get the folder at first, but found cleaning it to be too much of a pain so I got the folder for it and am glad I did.

    Target Cameras

Here's my system I just finally got to try it out today. Works out to at least 410 yards, then I ran out of room since it wasn't line of sight. Cost me a grand total of 98.69 shipped... But I did already have some supplies for it...

    XLR Chassis Stock

I have the carbon stock on a R700 SPS, with a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP, on a TPS 20MOA base and rings. I had medium rings on mine with the factory stock. When I switched to the XLR I needed to switch to high rings, but I could use a little higher even. I use flip up caps and I had to...

    XLR Chassis Stock

What Chassis? Carbon? If so I have that exact same setup and there is 6-3/4" of the barrel in front of the CF handguard.

    XLR Chassis Stock

I also got my Car on Chassis a few weeks earlier than expected. I was happy with the long wait, but was even happier when it showed up early. I love it when people do that! Thanks again Kyle!

Are these the Superformance ones then?

    Hornady Tap ammo

I've found my rifle (Rem 700 .308) shoots the most accurate with 168 A-Max's loaded with 44.0 gr of Varget. I get around .5 MOA with them. A SWAT friend of mine gave me 3 boxes of 165 gr interbond TAP ammo to try out for myself. He said their team is switching to Winchester something or other...

    Size of Reloading Market

I started reloading a few years ago, mostly just because I had some extra cash and to take my firearm hobby to the next level. Now I'm so glad I did. I don't even bother looking for factory ammo for anything I shoot. I really enjoy reloading too. I'm sure most reloaders will say the same thing.

Looking for a replacement 9mm powder, any suggestions.

I have a Dillon 650 and have used Titegroup, Unique and Power Pistol for my 9mm. I find that the Unique is harder to keep an accurate weight because of the flakiness of the powder. But I know some people love it because it is a very versatile powder and can be used for many calibers. I like...

    What trigger for my R700?

Thanks all, I went with the Jewell. I've heard they can be finicky with dirt, but I keep my stuff pretty clean and shoot in a pretty clean area. I love it so far.

    Keeping the reticle on target

Thanks guys. I have an Atlas bipod, but I've heard that shooting off a front sand bag, rest or pack is the most ideal rest for the front, and I was developing my load so that's what I used. I now have a good load...(I think) of 44.0gr of Varget and 165 A-Max's so now I'll start using the...

    Keeping the reticle on target

Thanks for the compliment.... I think that was a compliment.... And I'm not sure what you mean by "muscle the rifle to the target" I don't stop my breathing, but rather on slow exhale, I try to break the shot near the middle of the exhale. I move the reticle, Lower than the target, knowing...

    Keeping the reticle on target

How do you guys do it? What I've been doing is getting the reticle on target, then as I breathe... I move the reticle to as close as I can to target, but just off it, and as I exhale, it slowly moves on top of the target and right as it does, I press the trigger. Is this the best way or can...
