Rem700P - Trigger Job or Aftermarket?

Re: Rem700P - Trigger Job or Aftermarket? I run Jewell triggers in both my F Class rifles. For a tactical rifle, this is not the best choice. For those, I prefer a tuned (older) Remington or the Rifle Basix set at about 2.5 lbs.

Re: Good rings and bases for F/TR? Rings- Nightforce, Seekins, Badger Rail- Nightforce, Badger, EGW Aluminum is perfect for a .308. No need for steel. I have a Badger knob on one of my riles. It's too big and I don't like it for F Class. Get something smaller. It interferes with my...

OK to mix different lots of Lapua brass?

Re: OK to mix different lots of Lapua brass? I don't worry about it too much. I'll keep my first 2 or 3 firings segregated, but after that, they go into the 3+ firings bin. If you are sorting, it doesn't do too much good to weigh the case only as case heads will vary in weight. You should...

Advice for a newb and my 308... UPDATED

Re: Advice for a newb and my 308... 45 grs of Varget is too hot. Look at the bottom of the case heads. Are you seeing ejector marks? Alot of .308 accuracy is dependent upon your consistently manageing recoil. Work on that for better accuracy.

a better way to hold brass while prepping

Re: a better way to hold brass while prepping If you clean with stainless steel media, the primer pockets come out perfectly clean. If you use good brass like Lapua, there is no primer prep necessary between loadings. I haven't touched a primer pocket since I went to the stainless steel...

    Stainless Steel Tumbler Leaking

Over the past 2 years I have run my tumbler (Thumbler B Model)about twice a week. It's now leaking around the lid seal and I need to get a fix. Has anyone experienced this? Did a replacement lid seal cure the problem or did you replace both the seal and the liner? Where is the best (and...
