    Rifle Scopes Scope Suggstions

Brownells MPO. Damn hard to beat without spending a fair amount more. Optika 6 would be my second choice

Atlanta area CCI 450 primer dealer

Georgia arms is a good bet but call obviously. Adventure outdoors sometimes has a good selection of primers. Usually have more SRP than large rifle (because I'm looking for large... ). I would check with Cabela's in Acworth and Academy sports too

    Southeast matches

I just became aware of the rifle ranch matches in West Alabama. I think they have one coming up next weekend. Ranges out to ~800, 60rds, $40 entry. Should be a good match for newer shooters by the looks of it.

    One powder, 5.56 and 7.62

Maybe Shooters World Match Rifle? I just loaded up 250 .223's and it metered like magic. It's a ball powder so it isn't going to have the best temp sensitivity but most reports say it is very consistent. It advertised impressive velocities for .223/5.56 but I haven't tested it myself yet...

Rifle Scopes Help with 1st PRS Scope

Only thing negative I have heard about the Optika 6 is that the rubber on the controls eventually comes loose. AGAIN I heard this and have not experienced it. I have handled the 3-18x56 and it was very nice. I ended up going with the MPO over the Optika because I thought it would be a little...

    Which brake?

It doesn't get a ton of love but the VG6 LAMBDA is an awesome brake.

    Stuck 300wm cases

Just out of curiosity, did you FL size or just neck size? I can't make assumptions on the differences in powder and cases but I can't imagine it would cause problems without showing pressure signs... R700's can have pretty anemic primary extraction camming in my experience, which could fail to...

.260 & Shooters World Long Rifle *UPDATE*

I picked up a few pounds of Shooters World Long Rifle for my .260 and need to work up a load. I was previously running 140 bthp's out of my 23" Brux barrel at 2868 with 43.5gr H4350. It was a hot round but no pressure signs. I tested that load up to 44.7gr without pressure. I have a tight match...

Shooters World powders - anybody use?

Think you would get more velocity with SW Long Rifle?

Shooters World powders - anybody use?

Yeah it's been a headache for me to find any powder for my .260.... I'm about to have to work up a load with titewad because that's the only damn thing I can find locally..... I want to try shooters world long rifle but I really only want 1# for testing so that rules out ordering it... No place...

    Faster or Slower burn rate???

I might pick up a pound of that to test as well. It's too cheap not to try!

    Faster or Slower burn rate???

Well RL-16 has completely disappeared around me (north west Atlanta) and 4451 is going for a pretty crazy price the one place I found it. At the end of next week I will be passing by Ft. Oglethorpe and can pick up some Shooters World Long Rifle from North Georgia Reloading. I have read some...

    Faster or Slower burn rate???

Thanks @Steel head I wouldn't mess with it but i'm out of H4350.... and can't find more locally. I really want to shoot some Alabama Precision matches this year and want to get out to 1200 with less than my current 11.8 mils (calculated) If possible. I just figured if i'm switching to something...

    Faster or Slower burn rate???

I (like the rest of the civilized world) am looking for an alternative to H4350... I am currently shooting a 23" .260 rem with a tight match chamber so the 140's are sitting pretty deep. --Current Load-- Powder = 43.5gr H4350 (E.S. = 3 last time I chrono'd ) Brass = Starline Bullet =...

    Gunsmithing Bore sight question?

I have a cheap trick that makes the old bore sighting method MUCH more precise. I've done it on 12 rifles now and it has gotten me extremely close every time at 100yds! 1) Remove the firing pin assembly from your bolt so you can look through the firing pin hole. 2) Insert bolt in the receiver...

Rifle Scopes Need help picking a scope

I'm really digging my MPO. It's the 5-25 and supposedly the 3-18 is even better. The Optika 6 scopes are really nice feeling but the MPO just feels stronger. I don't get excited about PST2's but they have a following for a reason.... as do XTRII'S. I didn't care much for the one Steiner P4Xi I...

    Rifle Scopes Prs scopes?

I used a SWFA fixed 20x in the local PRS style matches all last year. I'd didn't hold me back, but I would have gladly traded magnification for FOV... I scrimped and saved and just got a Brownells MPO. I really like it but there are a lot of other really good options out right now. The runner up...

Rifle Scopes New Vortex Pro Rings vs Seekins

I just got my Refurbished Precision Matched Rings from AAoptics. $90 shipped and they look brand new. They seriously could have sold these for full price (not that that would be right, but nobody would have ever known). There were a few very tiny marks that I would not have noticed and they...
