    Is lateral "stringing" only caused by poor technique?

    I should add the vertical antenna doesn't have gravity acting on it, causing it to droop "cantilevered beam" style like a barrel. This is why the vertical component of barrel whip/harmonics is more pronounced than the horizontal.

    270wsm size die will work with appropriate bushing, but seater is a no go because a .284" bullet don't fit in the .2775"bore. You'll have to have it bores/ground out.     7-08 and 175 SMK

    ~2700fps from a 26" 8.5 twist Bartlein. Loaded to ~2.930", ~.025" jump. Makes no difference in velocity if I use 41gr Varget or 45gr H4350. Varget seems to shoot a little tighter. I should mention 2700 isn't a "max" load. I could get away with 2730 for sure, and probably 2750...but it shoots...

    Bottom line is the 168s will be flatter, the 180s will drift less and deliver more energy. I suspect both are fully capable of taking most game, even out to 1000 yards. HOWEVER! I'm not a hunter, so please do due diligence in researching what velocity each of these bullets needs to operate...
