300 blackout.... whats it good for?....?

I know what it is, i know its a good suppressed round for a scilencer... but ballistically speaking... what fps do they run? What kinda of effective range does it have? Its a fun looking little round, but i just cant figure out where it fits to justify buying one to play with... i dont see...

How do you manage inconsistent seating?

Sounds like you need to take the extra reloading step in measuring the length of each bullet on the ogive. That happens because bullets are not all exactly the same. when measureing bullets measure and few and find what the "suppose to be" length is.. then just sort bullets off that. then you...

? For anyone else using the CBI .260 Match chamber barrel (Savage) and VLD's...

That chamber sounds real close to the 260 Tactical chamber I run. It has a bit more freebore... If you have an 8 twist... I would try running 140gr bergers. That is what the little bit longer freebore was made to run. Then if your using a accuracy international mag look into cutting out the...

Speed vs accuracy in 7mm rem mag.

I wouldnt worry about it if it shoots great right there... your adjusting elevation is what your turrets are for. if you wanted to get a little more velocity I would look at trying some H1000. 4831 is a slower burning powder.

    Savage FCP .338 pressure issues

may need to full length size every time. se if a full length sized case still does it... it sounds like to me the first shot fire formed to the chamber, then you neck sized and reloaded them and the brass was then nice and fire formed... but what may be happening is the pressure of that round...

How important is consistent neck tension from cartridge to cartridge...

Extreamly important. It creates different pressures when the powder ignites till the bullet exits the muzzle. Its not easy to get them all perfect.

Im not worried about the SD. They shoot good.... the velocity is what spiked my interest because its more along the lines of a 6.5x284... its speedy..

    .280 AI from 30 06 brass?

I cant answer that question, but there are tools made to measure max case length. You can buy that little bullet deal that slides into the case mouth and chamber it then measure the max case length then compare that to your brass and you know exactly what your brass needs to be.
