    New lightweight Gamechanger/Saracen fill (Git-Lite)

Can anyone provide a comparison between Git-lit and Spex*Lite 5524B for a Gamechanger. My priority would be stability first and light weight second. Thanks, Rasyad

Multi-Caliber system POI shift experience, what do you get?

Great information and strategy for managing the zero offset. I have been toying with the idea of zeroing the scope for the 20" 6.5 cm for precision shooting and longer distance. For the 308 I would use maximum point blank distance for a 4" target out to 205 yards, and hold over beyond that...

Multi-Caliber system POI shift experience, what do you get?

Thanks for the information. This is the range of POI shift I thought I should be getting and motivates me to get my rifle sorted out. Rasyad

Multi-Caliber system POI shift experience, what do you get?

I posted this question in the gas gun section but figured you folks might have more data for me. Switching barrels on your Multi-caliber rifles, what is the POI shift you see at 100 yards? It would be great if you could also post which rifles, barrel length, and calibers you are shooting...

Multi-Caliber Rifles... What do you expect?

You may be on to something. There is a difference between the barrel extensions. The 13.5" 308 barrel is LMT's ultralite model with an aluminum and steel extension and a pencil barrel profile where as the 6.5 cm is a conventional all steel extension with the standard profile. I will look at this...

Multi-Caliber Rifles... What do you expect?

I have a shop in the basement (lucky me) so I stuck the barrels in the lathe to measure the runout. I did this multiple times in several locations and have reasonable confidence in the results. I understand runout is only one set of dimensions and has little direct bearing on what is going on...

Multi-Caliber Rifles... What do you expect?

I have a LMT MWS. There are a couple additional twists. First, the service that did the cerakote unfortunately coated the extensions which I then had to very carefully sand off before I could mount the barrels. Second, I filed a small flat (before coating so they show as colored areas) on both...

Multi-Caliber Rifles... What do you expect?

Thanks for that data point, I would have been happy with 1 mil but this is twice that. As well it seems odd that the flatter shooting 6.5 cm impacts lower than the 308. I have 21.5 mils of elevation left so I could leave it on the 308 zero. Dialing up about 2 mils to zero the 6.5cm and then...

Multi-Caliber Rifles... What do you expect?

In general, when swapping barrels what kind of offset of the zero are you experiencing between calibers, and or barrel length? I am getting a 7.25" offset at 100 yards. Is this typical? I have a couple new barrels on my gas gun, a 13.5" 308 with a pinned and welded muzzle brake shooting 175 gr...

MPA Enhanced Vertical Grip on AR15/AR10?

@AK4900PA Thanks for the tip on the new Ergo Zero Angle grip, just ordered one to try out. I have been happy with the Hogue AR 15/16 15 degree g10 grip as it was the most vertical grip at the time. I have a square / compact style so the new Ergo Zero angle grip looks promising. Rasyad

    Hiking poles

I have Leki and Black Diamond. My favorites are older version of these. I really can't hike without them anymore. Both BD and Leki use a core locking device (Kevlar cable) that makes for speedy deployment and collapse. I use the telescoping feature frequently adjusting the poles longer for...

LMT vs LWRC vs KAC for AR10

With the LM308MWS rifles it comes down to picking the upper. They are all the same length. The CQB (cheese grater) has pic rail on 4 side so is great if you are going to load the thing up with lights, illuminators, sonar and the like. The slick has the smallest smoothest and most comfortable...

    Favorite Rifle Cases

SERT makes great gear. Here is their 22" TDC, Take Down Case stuffed with my LMT MWS, two barrels (16" 308 and 20" 6.5 CM) and tools. I designed and built the custom internal straps and inserts to make everything expedition solid. SERT designs their cases to fit inside existing Pelican cases. In...

    ARCA Ballhead suggestions please

Hi, I did a search for your Manfrotto 190cxpro tripod. As I understand, this tripod has the three tripod legs and a central mast that can adjust vertically or positioned sideways. While the tripod legs are reasonably solid, the mast works against your needs for supporting a rifle. In the down...

    Offset BUIS Question

Nice rifle. You have it correct. For a right hand shooter, the 45 degree offset goes on the right side. Rotating the rifle down under to the left would be pretty awkward. I went with an older set of KAC folding 45 degree BUIS on my LM308MWS. Rasyad
