Magpul PMAG - 5.56 ACIS magazine

These will not work with the Ruger American 223 rifles. Magpul at some point added a disclaimer about them not working which is awesome being I ordered a couple after being told by Magpul a long time ago they would work. I tried them in my Ranch to no avail. The bolt overran the cartridge or...

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

It cracks me up you guys are arguing this. I have come across a couple fully documented incidents of 300 Blackout blowing up 223/556 rifles. I know one was on AR15.com but it's been a long time. Here's one vid from 3 years ago.

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

Got a link to the Sig lawsuit info I can't find anything. I am aware of him suing Remington and winning but not Sig.

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

As to the spin making a difference I guess I don't see why that's so hard to believe. I'm not saying it's some huge increase but not everything can be explained by simple math calculations for energy which we know doesn't always translate directly to killing power. Every time I've heard Kevin or...

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

He sued Sig or you talking about Remington? I don't know as may details as many of you so I just go off what I see. Even on his podcast he talks about his biggest asset is the good people he has working for him. He frequently talks about how having real innovative engineers is what has set them...

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

I understand why he rubs people the wrong way but he is pretty consistently successful. He built AAC into a powerhouse and Q seems to be doing great from what I can see.

8.6 BLK, The Caliber For Advanced Years.

How on earth did I miss this gem. I've been following updates on the Q podcast and look forward to this round actually being available. I've said many times I hope they continue to upsize the Blackout line. It's clear that many have no idea what went into the 6.5 Creedmoor and 300 Blackout...

    FN SPR 5 round mags

CDI converted my SPR which is why I was asking. Think I still have the bottom metal and a mag or two but I haven't messed with them in years so I couldn't remember what the deal was with them.

    FN SPR 5 round mags

Is that what came in the SPR guns as well?

    8.6 Creedmoor - Any updates?

Kevin has talked about it several times on the podcast. He said it's going to be open source just like 300 Blackout. That's the best way to ensure its success.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

That would have also helped but they could have done a lot more with their factory mags had they tried. I am glad I sent mine to CDI before he passed my only regret is not sending him more guns.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

FN was slow to change and left them alone too long in my opinion. They needed threaded barrels and 6.5 Creedmoor across the board.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

Mark at Short Action Customs did mine over a decade ago. The work is amazing and would absolutely recommend him.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

I am still hesitant to cut my barrel even though almost every gunsmith I've see say it's fine if done right. If I ever decide to get it threaded I'll probably go ahead and chop the barrel down.

Are the FN SPR enthusiasts extinct?

He did good work for a great price. I had a couple guns I was going to send to him but was too lazy and he passed. Definitely one of the good ones.

Ruger American Ranch 556 - Chassis?

So do you have the part numbers on the mags? I would like to ask accurate if they think it would work with my setup.

Ruger American Ranch 556 - Chassis?

I am interested to hear how it works out. I was one of the guys that bought the older American 223 and a Magpul stock before reading about how 3 lug 223's can be problematic. Magpul sent me a generic response that it would work but it wasn't worded so that I'm even sure they understood my...

    556 in 223 Bolt Actions

I shot some through a remington 700 with no problems. Every chamber is different so try it. The safety margin on a bolt action is pretty good.

    556 in 223 Bolt Actions

There were AR's that did which is why the industry basically eliminated the 223 Chambering Wylde was designed to shoot 5.56 so no surprise there.

    Ruger American

I would not with a 223. There have been multiple people with issues unless they have been resolved. The three lug bolt has problems with 223 out of AICS mags They make a AICS 223 American now?
