    I understand the sentiment but I'm just not shooting near as much anymore and when I do it's rarely in an organized match so all I'm looking for is the ability to find a good load that works well in a few guns.

    If you had to pick one load for general shooting target and possibly defense what would it be. Seems like a 75 or 77 grain load of some type is the most common choice. I still have a bunch of 77 Noslers I bought cheap so that's what I will probably start with. I know there's some newer bullets...

    I think they could have done well with that gun had they put even the slightest effort in it. I really wanted a 31 because I have an AR10 and mags for it already.

    I think there's a market especially for an OEM mass produced gun instead of a higher end custom. If Ruger made an American in 9mm that used good mags they'd sell a few. Even in the price range of the 77's I think they'd have a bit of a market.

    I would think most pistol bullets would just come apart even the bonded stuff. The 350 factory loads all seem to have rifle bullets in them.

    Might try and find a copy of the blue book they usually have decent descriptions. Funny thing is some companies do so many exclusive and small runs that there isn't always good info on them.

    I don't think there's a real good way to value it outside of an auction which only works if the right person sees it. The problem with discontinued stuff is that it is a risk for parts and service and with it being very limited even more so.

    I have no idea which was first or correct but what he says about the Bushmaster guns is what I remember as well. I've seen barrels set up like your picture but the bushmaster stuff is where I first saw it.

    I didn't know that but I don't exactly keep track. I can see reasons for both. Cabelas had a bunch of blem 223 mini actions with kryptek stocks and 1:8 barrels for $450. Still regret not grabbing one.

    I think that's a pretty old gun because they moved to the mini action for 223. They've done a bunch of Kryptek guns over the years so I'm guessing that's what that is. That looks like a standard 1500 short action.

    Where he really shined was his installs. Think he did it for free or damn near if you sent your gun to him. I'm glad I sent my FN to him and wish I had sent a few more. That's what really made him stand out in my opinion.

    They are expensive because they aren't common. Scour the net for a used one or pay the price.

    Yup or anything else. I really want to see a 50 Blackout that's standardized. Not near as fun now that 50bmg bullets aren't cheap. Should have grabbed a few thousand when they were under $.25 a piece. Lot's of cool possibilities with big dedicated 50 cal subs.

    In bolt guns some guys chopped cases and made a 50WSM and shot BMG bullets. That would be awesome in an AR10 but I can't find a lot of info on it.
