PRS - Shooting with Hand on Scope

Get a short board. I might have one I can trade you if you take the measurements and ensure it'll work

Build me out of the Production Div

I think it was just for budget sake that we were mention PPRs and MPAs. At least that's the impression I was under.

Build me out of the Production Div

Seems like the title of the thread is asking to build a rifle to get out of the production division. Not compete in it.

Build me out of the Production Div

When does the ACC Gen 2 Premier come out? Might be a good option with a CDG action and a straight 1.25" barrel. It'll help you balance the gun without weights. I'm also partial to Bix and Andy triggers. I've seen and had too many issues with TT diamonds to recommend them.

Build me out of the Production Div

Now that they've moved away from the axiom action, they are a viable option.

looking to switch to an arca clamp for my atlas bipod

Grey Ops. Area 419. RRS. Doesn't matter the order.

    Why are Foundation stocks popular?

The biggest issue I have and why I keep trying different stuff is getting them balanced is a pain in the ass and I can only go down to 13" LoP and being a short guy thats a little bit of a pain.

    Why are Foundation stocks popular?

Thats odd, I got mine down to just under 13" by pulling the spacer out. Didn't have to special order or anything. If you do order through Foundation they can go as short as 12.5"ish.

New to long range / prs

If you can stretch your budget a bit. You can get an Impact 737R barreled action from Altus or Impact for around 2300. Wait for a used Foundation Centurion, they pop up for around $1k fairly regularly in the PX. Put a TT Special trigger in it and an ACE Brake on the muzzle. Under 4K you'll...

    PRS Talk Optic magnification/reticle size

Put the PR2 or PR3 in a G3 body with G3 glass, get rid of the Vortex locking turrets and you'd have about the perfect PRS scope.

New to long range / prs

You might find a used MPA BA Comp or ESR for around 700ish if youre patient. A PRS membership will save you some money at sponsor shops if you have to go new. Might be able to find a Foundation for around $1000 if you prefer stocks over chassis. Go with the APA brake if you're looking the...

PRS - Shooting with Hand on Scope

I've done both but have gone back to hand over scope. I have a Hawkins mount with diving board. Going hand over scope keeps your position consistent no matter the prop or positions. With hand out front on the stock/chassis, there are some positions that you just can't do that technique. I.e...

    Holdover Reticle

I personally prefer 0.25 mil reticle for the simple reason that 0.25 and 0.5mils seems to be about 80% of the 1moa/0.3mil and 2moa/0.6mil plate sizes we commonly see so it makes correcting for misses pretty easy for me. But as stated above, it really truly is personal preference. You almost...

PRS Talk Switching from McMillian to Foundation thoughts?

I love the Foundation Stocks. I've tried to replace mine with different chassis and just keep coming back to them every time. You'd think I'd eventually learn my lesson.

Newbie Asks: Why do you say the Production (Rifle) Division is a Joke?

The other part is a growing number, probably in the majority at this point; don't care about being tactical or practical in terms of how PRS translates to mil/LEO and hunting. Most guys are in it because it's a game and it's something to do on a Saturday or Saturday and Sunday.

Newbie Asks: Why do you say the Production (Rifle) Division is a Joke?

^^^ This. I've only been in the game for about 8 years but it's infinitely better than it was in 2016. We went from 10 or 11, two day matches to one almost every weekend of the year. The amount of local/regional matches has exploded and it's awesome. As far as rules go, give Ken and crew...

Two triggers down in new impact 737R action. Is it me? Are there more reliable triggers?

14.7 oz total on a two stage is pretty light depending on how the sear and cocking piece interact. 874 rounds and 1000 isn't a lot of use. This has been a known issue with TTs for several years now and they still havent addressed it. I've seen 4 TTs go down last year. I've had 2 go down...

Precision Rifle Gear Without warning- TMB

After his social post and explanation, I emailed him back and said I didn't need a refund and I'd give the brake a fair shake. I feel bad for the guy. I wish he could have been more up front about the issues he was having but understand why he couldn't be. I'm looking forward to giving the...
