    Vortex razor hd 4000 rangefinder

    I have ranged a metal barn at over 2000, a large oak grove at 1900, steel at 1400 and cows at over 1000. Image is very clear and low light is pretty good but can't compare to the leica.

    Hard to beat the Bushnell Elite series at Cameraland's prices. I got a 3-12x44 with G3 reticle for my 6.5x55 hunting rifle a few months ago and love it. No trouble shooting steel out to 1400 yards. The 3.5-21 is a little heavier and a little bigger but still well under $1000

    I've got the bushnell on my hunting rifle and had the gen 1 razor in the past. For what you're wanting i would stick with the bushnell. I'm pretty impressed with mine.

    I regularly shoot to 1400 yards and very seldom go above 15-18x on my razor 4.5-27 and can spot my own hits. Above 20x mirage can be a problem and image quality just seems to be better in that range.

    I would try fgmm 185 juggernaut or the berger 175 or 185 loads. Berger says the 185s will stabilize in a 1-12. The fggm load is very accurate in my 1-10.

    My only experience with an mpa was with a surgeon/ Krieger 6br barreled action. Bolted it up and it shot about 1/3 moa.

    Question about lot-to-lot variation in Varget

    Ok. Didn't know it might be that much. Im loading 43.5 varget with a 185 juggernaut or 43.0 with 185 scenar with no pressure signs. Neither is compressed. It's still shooting good just needs more elevation at distance. I was just curious if that big a difference was common with varget

    I recently put a bushnell lrts 3-12 on my hunting rifle and I'm really liking it. Glass is good, it tracks reliably and I like the g3 reticle. It's also a bargain right now at cameraland.
