Gunsmithing Milling for new night sites

I haven't milled a 1911 in a few years, but I think the lpa and bomar cuts are similar and you may be able to swap them out. You need to measure the slide and look at the sight installation diagram. I would go to a 1911 forum with a smithing section. Those dudes would know.

Gunsmithing Need advise on quality airbrush for Cerakote application

I'd get a cheap hvlp gravity gun. I've been applying cerakite for 6 or 7 years. Back in the day I used an airbrush. Lame.

Gunsmithing ACIS 2.0 stock to .300 recoil lug?? Is it OK??

No worries dude. I cut them fast on all the ones I did. If you only do the front of the opening it doesn't matter how crappy a job you do. It doesn't effect anything.

    Gunsmithing EFR rail install

I've done a few on Shilen #7s and they were tight so I think if you don't cut back the shank much you could be into some problems. I use these on the heavier barrels SIRS Rail Mount : SIRS RAIL MOUNT | Brownells If you don't get a definitive answer I have an EFR here and a few Bartlein HV...

Gunsmithing Would like trigger opinions for Deviant action build

120 scenar L over varget. Cci 450. 2884 when it was brand new. I think it sped up a bit. Longest range around here is 600 yards and I might go to 800-850 once a year so it's a great load for me.

    Gunsmithing headspace

That's the crush everyone talks about when you torque a barrel down. If you want to open it up more you can throw an extension on your reamer and turn it a hair by hand. Personally I wouldn't worry.

Gunsmithing Remington 870 gunsmith advice wanted

IIRC they are different because of the drive spring tube at the rear of the receiver. I built one 11-87 years ago and lots of 870s. I vaguely recall trying to interchange stocks and it not being possible.
