    tried the .312 174 hornady but might have to venture out. didn't try 4064 powder though. tried imr 4350 and n160 if remember right.

    tried the .312 hornady 174 gr and if remember right best could get was like 4" at 100. to be honest don't know enough about them to know which model I have.

    I bought one so could compete with my son's Russian. tried couple loads and couldn't get it to keep anything like a group. when measured barrel got .313, anyone got any tricks to get it to shoot? thanks in advance for any help can give.

    you think about how those rifle were made and with what 2MOA is pretty amazing. I remember " the old guys", mostly VV's talking when I was a kid and what we take for granted today would have amazed them.

    i have owned one millet, and it crapped, sent it back and crapped again. my dad owns 3 and all but one has crapped so far, one twice. I would stick with vortex. heard nothing but good about them.

    Shooting Mats

    NcSTAR Rifle Case Shooter's Mat Combo PVC Tan my son and I both have this, as do several of the guys we shoot with, can use it to haul your rifle and shoot off of. we've shot off all kinds of terrain with it and like it. feet won't be on it but don't see that as a deterrent. $65. hope this helps.

    How do I "Score" this target?

    That would be a 2 MOA group. The two furthest center to center. You are actually under that. And for mixed head stamps and commercial load think doing petty well. The lateral could be wind also if not holding for it. Or trigger. Looks to me like got something good to work with.
