I have been just starting to look around for a pair of somewhat compact binoculars in either 6 or 8 power for hunting. I have other vortex optics and have been overall satisfied with them. I am curious to hear what everyone else thinks of these and whether or not there are better options out...
I cant say much about Fireclean but I have used frog lube to some extent. Overall I love the product but I have one major beef with it, I live in WI and this past winter the temp has dropped below zero 25 times or so. In that kind of cold, frog lube becomes hard as a rock and will make anything...
USO 1.5-6. The scope works great on my deer rifle as I am shooting typically 50-300yds. Lightning fast acquisition for when I am on a deer drive and great low light capability. Talk to lazy21, he will hook you up.
Here is my rig, a standard SA M1A with bedded stock, though not exactly a precision rig; it more than exceeds my needs for a hunting rifle in terms of accuracy and reliability.
I have a Sadlak Ind. mount, badger ordnance (low) rings and a USO 1.5-6 sitting on my SA. There is about 1/8" clearance between the scope and rear sight, about as low as you can get without serious modification. It took a few bad purchases for me to justify spending the $$ but I have been very...
I always focus on the front sight. If I wasn't I dont think I would be getting groups @ 50yds. Im completely losing where to consistently put the front post. Someone threw out the idea of covering my left eye, would that help?
I'm having trouble focusing my eyes while shooting my Arsenal AK with iron sights. When I shoot at 50yds I can put a consistent 1.5" group down on paper, but when I back out to a 100yds, my grouping opens up dramatically. I would just simply blame my eye sight for the issue but when I'm looking...
Maybe I'm wrong, but in my own opinion but when SHTF you will be in a defensive situation, probably close to maybe medium range. Yet you want a rifle/optics set up that is good to 1000yds. Can you find a rifle/optic set up to do both? YES. Will it do both well? NO. I think you should prioritize...
I stand corrected then! I guess I must have become so disgusted with "hi-cap" mag shopping awhile back that I havent kept up with all the current market...
I prefer the balance of the AUG over the Tavor, but the Tavor you can actually afford to buy mags for. The price on both, even MSARs, suck. All I know, is my brothers AUG is a blast to shoot.
I find even 1.5 moa out of a 7.62x39 AK hard to believe. My Arsenal seems to be more of a 3 moa rifle, which for what I use it for, it is perfect. Achieving under 2 moa with a RPK I could believe. Correct me if I'm wrong...
I personally have seen tracks and other evidence but I dont have any pics. People I know in the area that have the pics, not that that helps anyone here on the hide.
Ya i hear you there. I live in Green Lake Co. and there have even been sightings of wolves, bears, cougars and bobcats within a couple of miles of my house. Im not quite sure what to think.
