Rifle Scopes SFP for long range shooting

Thanks for the info. That sounds logical, but Im thinking that my skill level has not reached the need for a FFP. Typically the targets I shoot at are of known dimensions. I just adjust off where the round is hitting.

Rifle Scopes SFP for long range shooting

Maybe I need to reword. If you are not shooting the same load all the time, what is the benefit of a FFP?

Rifle Scopes SFP for long range shooting

As with the OP, I am looking for some info also. I have had the mind set that the "main" benefit of a of a FFP is if you are engaging targets at different distances / using the same load all the time. That way when magnification is changed all math is consistent. Is this sound logic, or should I...

Trade my Chevy for a Tacoma?

Have a 2017 V6(3.5L) / 24-25 mpg. When I first got it, it was around 20-22. After @15k or so, it got better.

    Rifle Scopes Nightforce nightmares

I agree with D2junky. I "had" a Accumark in 300 Weatherby. Quality control had a little to be desired.

    Gunsmithing Which Loctite?

Thanks for the info. Having no experience what so ever in this area, this has turned into an interesting paradox for me. STI included some Loctite 262 with a pistol I bought. Dawson Precision recommends it for this application. I would consider these people experts in this area. But yet, in my...

    Gunsmithing Which Loctite?

Looking for info on using (or not using) Loctite for mounting a RMR on a handgun. What do you think is the proper "number" not just color, as in "red" or "green". Thanks

Trouble getting accurate OAL w/hornady guage

Vandy321, It turned into a tedious wast of time for me. It was a pain in the ass to try and get any consistency out of it. The best thing I did was give it away. Got me a nice digital caliper and just went by the OAL in the manual. Life was much simpler. My consistency and accuracy was much...

    Want a Chronograph - Thinking Magnetospeed V3 - Thoughts

Magnetospeed here. Easy to use at public ranges. I just use it to get the velocity, so don't really care about poi changes or barrel harmonics. Velocity is just the end result of everything else, gives you a number to plug into our other toys. But there is always more than one way to get from...

    Rifle Scopes High magnification usability?

Ive been wanting to get a scope with a high end @35x. Ive had good luck with "up to" 25X but it seems bigger is the current trend. Years ago I had a 36x Leupold bench rest scope and it was difficult to use. Seems like everything, mirage/vibrations/etc effected it, so I have been hesitant to get...

FGMM 223 69GR AMMO DISTURBING NUMBERS

I had no luck with the 69 FGMM, could not get it to group. I have had bad results with the 69g SMK in general. 77g FGMM / 77g SMK / Berger 77g OTM all worked very well. Im shooting a bolt gun with 1:8 twist with a standard 223 chamber. I seat to standard mag length. Ironically the 69g TMK...

They're really harping on the federal workers not getting paid.

No kidding, this is what happens when all these thumbsuckers go to long between diaper changes. Maybe if we could get all this shit cleaned up, then we could focus on the government and the fed workers......

How should one most efficiently find not only the proper weight of powder but also which powder and OAL is best for your new rifle

You are over thinking it. Get a reloading manual. Get some Varget or 4064. Get some 168/175's. This will get you started in the right direction. By the time you do all that testing you will lose interest.
