Re: Help with a Remington 40X Trigger
10-4 so as I am turning that screw counter clockwise, or backing it out - should I be taking 1/4 turn increments? Even less? Again I just want to take about 1.5LBS off.
Re: Help with a Remington 40X Trigger
Right, I don't really want to mess with it if it involves taking the trigger apart, I just saw that "screw" right there and thought "could it be that easy?"
The trigger below is a factory Remington 40X in a standard .308 Police gun, 2011 built. After practice on the range and practice dry firing, I still cannot get used to the weight of the pull. I do not have a trigger pull gauge however it just seems a little high for a bolt rifle. I do not...
Anyone know where to get a good deal on a large set of bits? combo flatheads (thick ones) torx, hex, etc? Do these have to be had via brownells or can money be saved just buying them through northern tool or harbor freight?
Has anyone drilled into the walls of their safe? Need to install some hooks to hang stuff up. Any idea what the material behind the cloth is? How deep can you drill etc?
Re: Safariland "3-Gun" Case
My rifle is 44" OAL, so looks like I gotta stick with the Safariland, too bad because I think I like the 42" condor better.
Is there a good way to do this? Special rod, or bore guide? Also it seems like my saddle always gets pushed down rendering it useless, anyway to keep it in place? I don't want to go any harder than thumb tight on the knobs.
Re: Safariland "3-Gun" Case
Anyone tried one of the Condor 42" cases? Possible to stuff a 45" rifle in there and stretch room?

Re: Bolt Issue
just a standard bolt, and i think it might just be manufacturing the problem but pushing up while pushing the bolt in. but still a good excuse to upgrade...
Anyone know where to find a very sturdy magnifying lamp? It seems like all of the ones that Staples, Office Max, etc. are cheap garbage. I need something that will stay in place. Very useful piece when working with small screws etc.
Rem 700 SA, seems like the bolts comes back too far, and sometimes when I am pushing it back forward, if I am not 100% parallel to the bore it gets hung up. Any ideas or is this normal and I am just now noticing it?
While installing this thing I took off way too many tri-glides or whatever they are called, now i can't figured out if i put it on right. any suggestions?
