Re: **Talk to me about hydro-dipping** If you screw it up or decide you don't like the look can it be easily removed without damaging the stock? I have a hard time telling myself to try it on an $800 manners stock...

Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC?

Re: Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC? I also see now that GoPro will be coming out with the wi-fi accessory for android this fall. From the sounds of it you can activate recording from your cell phone by using the app. Effective range is 600 feet...? Has anyone tried this with the iPhone yet...

Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC?

Re: Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC? Lone Wolf, thanks for the links. I was actually watching your first link of shooting the AI which is what got my head spinning with this idea. GoPro does seem to have a better picture quality but I'm not sure I wanna give up the more compact design of the...

Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC?

Re: Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC? I'm not looking to see rifle target impacts. Maybe a lumenok arrow at 20 yards though. Or else I would like to mount it looking back at the shooter .

Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC?

Re: Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC? Thanks for all the info so far. I'm definitely going to be looking into the contour some more. It looks like you can remotely activate the contour using a cell phone app too.

Gun Camera: GoPro or Midland XTC?

I have been trying to find some comparison and reviews between the GoPro and Midland XTC. I am looking at picking one of these up on a Black Friday sale this year. I am mainly going to be using it to attach to my turkey gun or bow stabilizer to record some hunts. I also may mount it to the tree...

Pre made mil/ inches ranging chart. Who has them?

Re: Pre made mil/ inches ranging chart. Who has them? Not sure if this is what you are looking for but scroll down and check out the grid labled "chart 4". It gives size of target, size in mils and then gives you a range. http://www.millettsights.com/downloads/TRS_Manual_WEB.pdf

Rifle Scopes Converting bullet drop in inches to 1/8" @ 100yds

Re: Converting bullet drop in inches to 1/8" @ 100yds I'm totally lost now. I never got into learning MOA. All my other scopes are Mil/Mil. Maybe I should just figure out what power setting my scope needs to be at to have the mil dots spaced out correctly and just convert the bullet drop to...

Rifle Scopes Converting bullet drop in inches to 1/8" @ 100yds

Re: Converting bullet drop in inches to 1/8" @ 100yds I wasn't sure if it was max power or 10 power, and there is no mark on the power ring to indicate. I guess next time I go to the range and shoot 100 yards I will just have to draw out 3.6" lines on my target and figure it out.

Rifle Scopes Converting bullet drop in inches to 1/8" @ 100yds

I have a cheapo BSA 4-16 power mil dot scope SFP mounted on my Rem 700 22-250. This is basically a truck gun for coyotes. The windage and elevation turrets are 1/8" @ 100 yards and they track really well and crisp. My question is if my bullet is for example suppose to drop 4" at 300 yards and...

Hunting & Fishing 2012-2013 Archery Season Thread

Re: 2012-2013 Archery Season Thread Nothing special, but I was able to get this one out of the way and get some meat in the freezer. She came into my food plot all alone. Shot her at 15 yards on the second evening of the archery season. She went about 70-80 yards. I had passed on several...

Hunting & Fishing 2012-2013 Archery Season Thread

Re: 2012-2013 Archery Season Thread 3 hours to go and I will be on stand for the WI opener. I like the idea of the go pro camera on the bow! The picture stabilizes pretty good without much distortion during the shot. Keep us updated if you get one on film.

Movie Theater No Easy Day (book)

Re: No Easy Day (book) Just finished it today. It read pretty quick and easy, didn't take very long to finish it. It wasn't everything I thought it would be. I didn't really take anything he said as releasing classified info for the sake of national security. All in all though I'm happy I got...

Hunting & Fishing Wolf or Coyote?

Re: Wolf or Coyote? Finally a turn of the tables with some wolf believers out there. Now I really got my head spinning and don't know what to think this is! I am going to e-mail the pic to our local game warden who stops in our office regularly and see what they think. I'll keep you guys...

Hunting & Fishing Wolf or Coyote?

A guy at work got this photo on his trail camera. It was taken from Columbia County Wisconsin, which is in the southcentral part of the state. I have witnessed a wolf in this county before and there a few reported sightings here every year, so we know they are here. This has created quite a...
