Rifle Scopes Question For Premier Scope Owners

Re: Premier Scope Owners I have 2 - 3-15's and 4 - 5-25's. No tracking issues at all. I use these scopes frequently with no issues. The minor things I wanted adjusted on a couple of used scopes, Paul took care of me ASAP.

    Tactical comp rifle weight

Ok guys, I know that this is a subjective question and depends on your size, fitness, etc., however, I am curious as to what you think a maximum weight of a bolt gun for tactical comps should be? I am 6' 2" and 190lbs with an athletic build and all my tac rifles are in AI stocks and surgeon...

    6BR on the AR-15

Re: 6BR on the AR-15 Harrison, I only have 105 rounds through it so far of fire form loads, but so far it seems to not be fouling bad at all. I've got another 95 rounds to fireform and then I'll start load development. I'll keep you up to date with results. Thanks again for your help...

    6BR on the AR-15

Re: 6BR on the AR-15 I just got back my 6brx from AR performance. I haven't worked up any loads yet, but I just grabbed some extra bullets I wasn't going to use to fireform and threw together a load of 90gr berger, 30.5gr of varget, and rem 7 1/2 primer jammed .025 to .030 to fireform...

Member Link Up IPSC Rifle ranges in Raleigh/Durham, NC area

Re: IPSC Rifle ranges in Raleigh/Durham, NC area There's a terrific range near Creedmore, NC called Sir Walter Gun Club. They hold a monthly USPSA match that will have anywhere from 100 to 150 attendees. On any given match day, they will have up to 6 or 7 GM's in attendance to include Chris...

Struggling developing .308 accuracy loads. Help

Re: Struggling developing .308 accuracy loads. Hel As already mentioned, there are a lot of variables here to look at. I run the 185 LR Berger in all my 308's. The main things that affected my loads were (in no particular order): 1 - type of primer 2 - neck tension (this is a biggie, both...

    Lapua .308 Palma Brass

Re: Lapua .308 Palma Brass I've played with them in two rifles. They hold pressure slightly better than the standard primer, but I didn't see any difference in ES or SD. I'm able to get more velocity with the same ES out of standard Winchester prepped correctly than the Palma Lapua.

    Giselle or JP Trigger

Re: Giselle or JP Trigger I've shot both extensively both as a 3 gun setup and as an accuracy setup and of the two I prefer Geissele. However, I know you didn't ask about other options, but after running both the above, I now am putting Pact Gold triggers in everything I have. They're worth...

Macmillian Bros tac .338 good choice?

Re: Macmillian Bros tac .338 good choice? The Mac Bros 338 is a great rifle. I have never owned one, but did shoot one about a year ago and it ran very well. I ended up buying a Surgeon with XL Action, krieger barrel, and AI cip stock. I personally like it better than the Mac Bros that I...

Rifle Scopes Premier and US Optics

Re: Premier and US Optics When I was originally looking to scope several rifles, I compared a 3-15 Premier to a 4-16 S&B, 3-17 USO, and a couple of others. There were pluses and minuses with each. But I now have 2 3-15 Premier's and 2 5-25 Premier's. That's how I vote

Loads for .308 Berger 185 Target BT Long Range?

Re: Loads for .308 Berger 185 Target BT Long Range? Please note! - I am loading 2.90 because of running out of an AI chassis! This load may not be safe when run at 2.80 so work up. I ran 43.0gr varget with wolf primer, lapua cases, and 185 bt - 2675 from a 26" krieger. I switched to...

    Vrigin brass accuracy?

Re: Vrigin brass accuracy? I'm finding that in my 6mm super lr, after the brass is fireformed, it shoots consistently 1/4 moa better than new brass. I don't see hardly any if any difference in my 308. My assumption is the minor dimensional difference prior to fireforming the 6mm to the...

Rifle Scopes Premier Reticles Hunter Held One in My Hand Today

Re: Premier Reticles Hunter Held One in My Hand Today When I asked Paul about it, he said the Hunter was still made very well and made comparable in quality to other upper end scopes out there, but just wasn't as overbuilt as the Heritage is. ( ie, not as capable of driving nails as the...

    Range Report 155 or 175 ?

Re: 155 or 175 ? When I got my 26" Krieger Surgeon, I was trying to decide between the 155's and the 185's. After testing at distance in the wind, the 185's are a no brainer. It's a whole lot easier to estimate/range distance than to predict/outguess changing wind conditions.

    Which turret press?

Re: Which turret press? The Redding wins by a mile. I have two of them. I leave on set up on large primer, and one on small. Changing the turret is extremely simple. You just take out the allen head screw on the top of the turret (being careful not to lose the ball and spring underneath)...
