Rifle Scopes Premier and US Optics

Re: Premier and US Optics

Had USO and PH. Like the PH more. Picture was more clear to me and the clicks felt better. Also I need a shorter scope to mount NV on the front of my stock.

Re: Premier and US Optics

Wow, I have not seen a thread with this much scope stroking in a while.

At this point, they are all good, period.

For what its worth, I went from USO to Premier...I am happy.

The only thing worth considering is which has the features you want, which is available, or if you are willing to wait for exactly what you need, if a few hundred bucks makes a difference, etc.

You will not be disapointed in any of the scopes mentioned.

Re: Premier and US Optics

Talk about a tough decision. They are all great scopes, Hensoldt, S&B, PH and USO...My decision was to go with the PH with the Gen 2 MilDot but with the new scope features and reticles coming out from the Shot Show, I am back to doing more research.

Re: Premier and US Optics

I know looks don't account for anything but i love my SN-3 paired with a 2" sunshade, looks perfect. But i adore customization, love the GAP milling reticle although it can be thick at some distances over a small target overall it's great. EREK knob also is makes things so much easier. All the customization paired with Great CS and amazing durability has me sold on U.S. Optics. Not to say that i wont try other brands.

MillSpec, you have 67 posts and assume everyone here is a moron?

Some of us own these scopes, glad you can pull spec sheets and other marketing propaganda, some of us have actually used these optics as intended.

My point remains: S&Bs tunnel, my Premier does not - that was the original statement and - after all your blathering - nice of you to put your head in your ass.

To the original poster, most have knowledgeably outlined Premier and USO, disregard everything MillSpec has said and you should be fine.

Kinda reminds me of the red neck dumbasses at the range who are convinced Leupold is best because Leupold told them so. They can't shoot for shit, but they "know" they have the best gear money can buy.

Re: Premier and US Optics

When I was originally looking to scope several rifles, I compared a 3-15 Premier to a 4-16 S&B, 3-17 USO, and a couple of others. There were pluses and minuses with each.

But I now have 2 3-15 Premier's and 2 5-25 Premier's.

That's how I vote

Who the fuck are you?

You think that just cus someone has 67 posts they know nothing? i had about 500 posts on my other account but i lost the password and used a spam email address.

Not all Schmidts tunnel and the 3-20x50 doesnt either so im told by other hide members.

So why dont you get some manners you fucking hick

Re: Premier and US Optics

I refered to the fact that the 2 scopes needed testing against each other to see if there is any negative effect from the tunnelling from 4-5x mag vs the Premier since no one has yet to do this.

The tunnelling effect is a crock of shit its a total non issue thats been blown around by fags like you. i have had scopes and they never tunnelled yet when i put them vs my S&B i noticed that even with the tunnelling the S&B had a much bigger FOV at 4x mag.

You carried a gun as a professional? Big fucking deal. i would of thought that after all that time you would have grown up a little.

Re: Premier and US Optics

I, for one, also hate tunneling. Only scope I own that does it is an IOR 2.5-10 mil/mil/ffp, and it tunnels below 4x. Hate it, so it never goes below 4x.

Meanwhile I have 3 premier's and love them.

Right wrong or otherwise, I stay clear of USO's simply because I've seen too many of them go down. All EREK's and they died in a fashion that when one turned the knob, the reticle didn't move. 3 of them I've seen this on so far. I'm to understand the very first premier's had a similar issue, and mushy turrets... but I'm here to tell you that the new premier's are here to stay. Amazing scopes. I've got 1 old one and 2 new ones.

Re: Premier and US Optics

I have that same IOR scope (new, larger turret, much improved illumination system, illuminating just the center not.) It is a great little scope, but mine never goes below 4X either.

Re: Premier and US Optics

I said it was over but I guess people don't understand so now they will be banned for a few days.

Anyone else want to start the BS between Mill and Rancid again and get banned too?
