I should have asked here first. Oh well, did I waste my money?

Well, This day & age, those Norma 223 cases don't look all that bad!!!! At least when I looked they were still in stock.. If a person didn't need that many, you could easily sell the extras!!!!!

    Dented Shoulder on Brass

Another vote for too much lube while sizing!!!!!! And as MtnCreek pointed out, looks like too much chamfer on the O.D. of the case neck!

    Seating 223 flat based bullets

Ha Ha, Yep, bringing back an old thread..... But, funny thing is, that I'm having the exact same issue... SO, I guess I'll try the 'M' die, & a decent chamfer, & see how it all works out.............

    Half neck sizing

I too, have read that the partial neck sizing is believed to help align the case in the chamber. I'd say, trying both partial, & full neck sizing is worth trying...

Just had a recent transaction with Scott.Neidrick. Transaction went very well. He even made a "More Than Reasonable" offer to split shipping on a pretty heavy object!! Fast responses to communications, & easy to deal with. Good Guy!!!!! Idaho-5R

    Hornady Lineup

I also shoot the 308, 5R Remington 700. I'm still trying out many different bullets for it. But, as far as 'Cheap & Easy', I've found the Nosler 175 CC does quite well. Cheaper than the SMK, & fairly easy to find a decent load. If you shop around a bit, they can be fairly cheap. I did however...

    260 Remington Hunting Load

I have a friend who shoots a Savage 260 Remington. I loaded Nosler 130 Accubonds for her to shoot out of it. Five one-shot kills on deer, & one Montana antelope @ around 300 yards, one shot, & down.... Unless you're talking Long Range, the regular Accubonds work fine!!!

Best load for 22-250 for coyotes

As others talk about, twist rate on most factory 22-250's has been very slow... Yes, normally 1-14, or, at best 1-12... My personal 22-250, Remington 700, is 1-14. I've had decent luck with 55 Hornady V-Maxes. Other than a few exceptions, there aren't a lot of heavier "Varmint/Predator"...

    FCS, Nice shooting there!!!!!!!

Range Report 9 twist .223 rem

General consensus says that a 1-9 twist will handle up around 69-70 grain projectiles pretty well. I have a Remington 700 5R that I really like to shoot. It's a 1-9 also. My best groups have been with the Hornady 53 grain V-Max... I've experimented with 69 Sierras & Noslers, 70 & 73 grain...

king1886ranch, I just noticed the revival of this tread!!!! I'm very interested in how that new barrel works out!!! A 22-250 shooting those long, high BC bullets should be very interesting!!!!! Cool idea, just keep us posted on how it all plays out!!!!!

    Bullet stability - .308

Multi-Tool, I guess I just feel the need to experiment..... I'm always trying something different. I'd love to get the Juggs to shoot in my 5R, but, so-far, not much luck.... But, I'll keep trying!!!! Let us know if you have any luck!!!!!!
