    McRees Stocks are Ceracoated at McRees by Scott, they are not Anodized. I got 2 last year and that's the way they are. Hope this helps.

    Talk me out of buying a small base sizing die

    I got a SB 223 RCBS die for my SP-1 back in 1971 cuz some gun book said I needed it. I used it for the first 50 reloads and never used it again. Still have it by the way. You don't need one for your 308, you already know it will work with your dies that you have.

    My guess is none, the 222 mag is .090 longer so everything should clean up OK.

    The one that I'm using is 285 Hornady and RE-25 88Gr, have lots of r-25. Works great for busting rocks and plate. Also tried 94gr, RE-25 with a 250 GameKing just to make some noise and try out the Rifle, shot ok. Remember you only need to cut the rib down 2.25 from the top front to get it to...

    Gunsmithing 338 RUM Reamer

    I have a 338 RUM (Stock) in a McRees and I cut the front of the receiver .08 so I could use the 300 Win Mag CIP mags. You will have better luck with the 300WM mags than the 338LM, the 338LM is much wider at the base than needed.
