    Bullet Price History

Re: Bullet Price History So today (1000) 175 SMK's costs roughly $290. However, $167 in 1993 is roughly equivalent to $256 in 2011 if you account for inflation.

    This guys fundamentals suck

Re: This guys fundamentals suck Looks like a retard with his commando attire. This is the type of guy that causes the general public to assume everyone who's into firearms is a cross bred, cousin counting redneck.

Rifle Scopes Seekins Rings not compatible w/NF base

Re: Seekins Rings not compatible w/NF base Strange, both parts should be made to 1913 spec but obviously one (or both) are not. I'd be really interested to see who is at fault as I've got a set of Seekins rings coming that will go on a Defiance rail.

    AIAW SM reloading questions

Re: AIAW SM reloading questions Black Majik- 300gr typically require 1:10" or faster to truly stabilize, but if you're having good luck with them I'd recommend stretching them out and seeing if they shoot well. I agree with Sean (Mile High); 250gr bullets are no slouch in 338LM and were...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Acceptable / Typical Failure Rates

Re: Acceptable / Typical Failure Rates Interesting topic, most are unwilling to admit that their prized possession may have malfunctioned that one time (but it was due to limp-wristing, right? definitely not the guns fault!). I've had a G29 for several years and several thousand rounds...

    Hornady LnL powder drop system

Re: Hornady LnL powder drop system Can't help you with the 4350 but have you been using their "One-shot" cleaner and dry lube? It works great on my powder measure (only use it with pistol powders) and anything else seems to gum it up with powder sticking to the side.

Hornady LNL AP 338 Lapua Shell Plate??

Re: Hornady LNL AP 338 Lapua Shell Plate?? I just put a 338 case on my LNL AP and it does index on time to enter the die (by quite a margin) so that wouldn't be an issue. However, if they don't produce the shellplate, it's a moot point.

    Rifle Scopes NightForce or USO?

Re: NightForce or USO? I've owned both; had the NF first and then "upgraded" to the USO. I was disappointed by the poor glass (not nearly the resolution of the NF), the vague windage knob, and the slight amount of backlash in the parallax. Lesson learned; went back to buying NF!

    Mailed Items

Re: Mailed Items I think as a seller you take the fall (and in this case provide a partial refund or offer to take back the item). I know that "technically" it's not either party's fault but I feel, when I'm selling something, that once I get paid it is my responsibility to get the item to...

Rifle Scopes Premier 5-25x56 vs S&B 5-25x56 PMII

Re: Premier 5-25x56 vs S&B 5-25x56 PMII Premier is going through some funky ownership issues; for that reason alone I'd go with S&B. At least you have some confidence they'll still be around in 5 years.

Your perfect action - and why

Re: Your perfect action - and why Mauser 98. Because as much as the boutique custom action makers try, they cannot even come close to producing the features that made the Mauser great. What we have today are a bunch of Remington 700 clones with minor modifications where convenient.

    sig sauer tactical 2

Re: sig sauer tactical 2 Friend of mine had one in 338 Lapua, it shot around 1-1.5 MOA with 5 different types of factory ammo. He shot his other 338's much better, and Sig (US importer for the Tactical 2's, BlaserUSA handles all the other Blasers) told him that the guarantee was MOA so there...
