Rifle Scopes Review of the Eotech Vudu 5-25, Now With Photos

Well I see most scopes coming from LOW in Japan to be high quality. When it's realized that many proven optics are designed and engineered , and often manufactured in their facility I have zero doubts about the VUDU'S quality. Remember LOW also does the 7-35 ATACR and NXS, some Bushnell Elite...

Rifle Scopes Review of the Eotech Vudu 5-25, Now With Photos

The VUDU is easily the lightest in the bunch at 29 oz actual weight. The ATACR tips the scales at 39.6 oz actual, the NXS at 34oz actual ( 30mm tube helps compared to 34mm on the others) and the Razor gen2 is 48.2 oz actual on my scale.

Rifle Scopes Review of the Eotech Vudu 5-25, Now With Photos

Hello all, i have noticed there is not much info about the Eotech VUDU 5-25x50 scope, and like many i was very interested in the scope. This scope boasts some impressive stats, in an unbelievably compact package and a very reasonable price point. So I took the plunge and bought a VUDU 5-25 with...

    Surgeon 591 or Impact 737

Out of the two you are thinking about, Impact all the way, you simply get more for your money....... BUT I would go for Bighorn TL3 over either the Impact or the Surgeon..... By far the smoothest action I've ever owned, in fact i now own two- since i sold my Surgeon 591.... Savage pre-fits are...

Rifle Scopes Any updates on the Eotech Vudu 5-25?

How I the resolution at distance or low light? Still clear? I currently own a nightforce atacr and Razor gen2 and think the glass is a wash between the two, but haven't looked more than 70 yards with the Vudu.

    Rifle Scopes Viper vs Razor

Other than the glass quality and overall build quality, don't forget the razor has significantly more elevation adjustment than the pst by using a 34mm main tube vs the 30mm on the pst. This could prove a big issue when dialing for distance depending on how far you shoot. I own several vortex...

    Rifle Scopes Leupold MK5 5-25

I am interested in first hand knowledge and opinions of the new-ish MK5 5-25 from Leupold. Seems like a great value with good reticle choices and features like locking elevation with second and 3rd rev indicators, lots of travel and light weight. I got the opportunity to handle one yesterday in...

Sidearms & Scatterguns What semi auto shotgun for waterfowl hunting?

$400-$450 1100 or 11-87 fits the bill. have it cerakoted to look good and help stop corrosion. They work well and are easy to get parts for, keep it lightly lubed and have spare o-ring with you (or change it yearly) and it will run without issues. Remember if its a hunting tool and will get beat...

Sidearms & Scatterguns 870P or 11-87P, and Why?

I own both an 11-87 and 1100 tac4 and they are both very reliable. Reliability is contingent on maintenance, keep it lubed and it will keep running. the design has been around since 1964 and still works well. The best value in autoloading shotguns today are secondhand remington 1100s and 1187s...

Rifle Scopes 15 or 30 moa base?

Sounds like a .22 lr...... 18 Mils is about ~60 M.O.A 30 M.O.A is about ~8.7 Mils Sooooooo, If your scope actually has 18Mils of adjustment (~60 M.O.A.) you should be able to zero at 50 yards with 30 M.O.A base. FWIW I run a 30 M.O.A base on my 22 trainer and can easily zero at 50 yards...

    Mcree's Precision 10/22 Review

There is ~0.800" of space behind the inlet for a factory footprint action until you would reach the bubble level channel, but there is also a a seam where the buttstock assembly attaches there. There may be enough space to inlet for the tang. The best answer is to call Mcree's precsion direct...

    Mcree's Precision 10/22 Review

The grip has the same reach to the trigger as a standard AR grip (like a Magpul MOE) but there is a open gap unlike an ar15 which is solid aluminum. This was done as far as i can tell so the many different styles of 10/22 trigger guards both factory and aftermarket can fit. i am currently...

    Mcree's Precision 10/22 Review

The photos are a 20" barrel. The Kidd receiver I tried was a Classic slip fit with a Ruger bx trigger found here http://www.coolguyguns.com/KIDD-Aftermarket-22LR-Receiver-Classic-Slip-Fit-Model_p_18.html It fit nice and snug with no clearance issues.
