    Too much shoulder bump...

You probably won't see any noticeable difference in velocity or accuracy, but you will probably see shortened case life. On future loadings, I'd check the inside of the cases forward of the case head with a bent paperclip for incipient head separations.

    Barrel replacement ???

 I think @swampbuck meant bugholes.com, Greg at Southern Precision Rifles. He might have a barrel you want in stock. Also try Northland Shooters Supply for Criterion prefit barrels, Altus Shooting Solutions, and Long Rifles Inc. LRI might be able to make you barrel quickly depending if they...

Question for the Auto Throw/Trickler Folks

I think your out of luck in that Autotrickler doesn't make a Mac app, only iOs and probably Android (I only have iPhones in our family so don't know if they made an Android app)

    SECNAV Remington Model 720

I agree with Tim, beautiful rifle, one to pass on to your kids along with the story of how you won it.

New Tikka T3x CTR scratched barrel

Rifle barrels, particularly factory barrels are going to have imperfections in them. I'd go shoot it and if it shoots well that's all that matters.

Rifle Scopes Well I cracked a Spuhr mount…!!

Spuhr and Mile High do stand behind their products, but I have personally seen two Spuhr mounts crack at the same place on the clamping bar as the OP. The two cracked ones that I've seen were owned by friends who scrupulously used FixIt sticks of the proper torque to mount them on their rifles...

    Help with my Manners stock

Action screws for Rem 700 and clones are easily available 1/4"x28 screws, you can get them at Grainger or your local Ace Hardware store. It is common that you will need trim or cut your action screws to length when putting an action in a new stock. Manners sends actions screws with their stocks...

    Stock swap, other alternatives?

Joe Ducos, @jducos, uses Terry Cross' KMW Loggerhead hardware to make your stock an adjustable cheekpiece. He does great work and you almost can't tell that the stock wasn't made with an adjustable cheekpiece. https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/stock-doc-joe-ducos-is-amazing.7011797/...

    ARC Nucleus Headspace Question

Actually FWIW, you don't even HAVE TO remove the ejector and extractor of a Rem 700 type action when headspacing them. I just make sure the ejector is lubed and moves freely and I tilt the headspace gauge to slip the rim under the extractor, then chamber the gauge. Works just fine.

Before I bubba up my Manners...

I used a dowel and sandpaper to hog out my barrel channel in a Manners T2AGAP, it worked great and with flat black spray paint you can't even tell it didn't come that way.

Manners Stock choice and mini chasis?

Chances are you won't notice any difference between the mini chassis and a custom bedded stock. I have three Manners stocks, 2 mini chassis and one custom bedded and they all shoot outstanding. The mini chassis also means that you can put different barreled actions in the stock in case you get...

Mossberg or Savage for 224 Valkyrie?

Knowledgeable shooters don't use factory Remington/Savage rifles as starting points anymore because time and money spent on reworking them to be more functional is time and money that you're never going to get back and particularly with a Savage action you end up with a rifle that will never be...

I used 5 weights in my Manners TCS stock but only to balance it so it balanced forward of the mag well.

    AI AT308 bolt face pitting

Yes I just forgot to include that in my first post in this thread

    AI AT308 bolt face pitting

Wow!! that bolt face is seriously bad looking. That happens from repeated firing with seriously loose and leaking primer pockets. It looks sooo bad that I'd probably send it to LRI to get a bushing installed in the bolt face to repair it or just buy a new bolt from Mile High

    AI AT308 bolt face pitting

Bolt face pitting in a ring around the firing pin is an unmistakeable sign of pierced primers at some point in that rifles history. So no matter how many rounds the previous owner said were fired through it, pierced primers caused the pitting, and I'd be willing to bet the previous owner lied...

Well this is a first... failure to fire

I would not ignore the possibility of the new brass being short on headspace leading to misfires. I just got done firing 223 reloads made from factory new LC 11 brass. I had about 25 misfires and the factory new brass had shoulders that were 15 to 20 thousandths under SAAMI minimum which to me...
