Need advice on the best bolt action with best scope.
Yea, need you to define 'best'. If I absolutely had to make a shot at 100, I'm using my 5.56 RPR with Leupold VX3i 8-25. No matter the ammo, it's never been over .75 MOA, and that was only once. (No, I've never shot any basic plinking stuff thru it. Match grade only.) It doesn't have the...- mi650

Who wants to boycott 3 shot group reviews & reviewers?
I mostly shoot 5 rd. groups, but will do 3 for a hunting rifle. I guess the main reason is I have generally short shots on deer, so 3 rds. is going to give me all the info I need.- mi650

Not sure if I've posted this one here or not. Rem XR-100 in 308. Rather uncommon I guess, as it was a Gander Mountain exclusive. I got it there on clearance for $600. Aside from having a butt pad installed for more LOP, it's bone stock. Shoots lights out. A buddy, who's a decent shooter...- mi650

What scope to use for 100 yard groupings?
Agreed that I'm shooting groups with whatever scope the rifle is going to wear. I'm a big fan of the Leica PRS with PRB reticle, great glass and I love the center circle. That said, my consistently best grouping rifle wears a VX-3i 8.5-25 with TMR reticle. I'd love to have a Leica on it, but...- mi650
