Night Vision L3 Unfilmed White Tube Question

FYI Just because a tube is a “genuine” contract tube doesn’t mean it’s going to be any higher quality or better performing than a commercially sold tube.

Night Vision L3 Unfilmed White Tube Question

Yessir, high spec L3Harris filmless is the best performing tube available period. Disregard “Mil-Spec” when it comes to tubes because an actual mil-spec tube is one that goes to a contract and will be labeled on the tube as such. The commercially available tubes can have the same or higher...

Night Vision Wrecked my Ranger, 2x SkeetIRx, and UTC-Xii tonight!

When you knew you were going over were you more worried about yourself or your gear? I would've probably been worried about the gear, LOL In all seriousness, glad the Lord was riding shotgun that night

Night Vision Video comparison with the Night Goggles XLS (Elbit XLSH WP)

It looks worse since it's side by side against the higher spec filmless and also because both tubes were at maximum gain throughout all of the videos. I wanted to keep it as consistent as possible. Just like any other 11769 it does better in low light with the gain turned down.

Night Vision Video comparison with the Night Goggles XLS (Elbit XLSH WP)

Side by side comparisons using a NGI XLS PVS-14 against filmless with no moon and 1/2 moon. The purpose of this comparison is to show what you can roughly expect performance wise at two different price points. 1. Night Goggles XLS with middle of the road specs (not too low and not too high)...

Night Vision Mod 3 Bravo tubes

Yes, the tubes have to be 11769 format if you want the gain control to work

Night Vision Luna elir3 visible to coyotes?

The D2 is a solid device with a killer illuminator. I leave it in a middle width adjustment so it's not super wide or too narrow and that works perfect for every distance you'll realistically be shooting with head mounted night vision. You can widen it out for decent flood and narrow it down if...

Night Vision What tube would you want in your clip on?

Great post. I've seen a filmless 1701 sheet with 40 high light res (not huge) so higher than 36 is possible but I don't know how much higher they are capable of. I don't think the high light advantage of 4G would be enough to offset the overall superior performance of filmless WP to make it...

Night Vision Crazy 4th of July sale at Night Goggles and TNVC

I agree. People just need to know what these are and this post and the other in ARF I think cover it. Well, you know we’ll find out soon how good they are when people start getting them.

Night Vision Crazy 4th of July sale at Night Goggles and TNVC

I’m not super active here so for those who don’t know I’m not a TNVC loyalist. I’m an equal opportunity buyer and in fact I’ve never bought a singdevice from TNVC. I posted this on ARF so will put it here since I started this thread. These are the same Elbit WP tubes that virtually all of the...

Night Vision Crazy 4th of July sale at Night Goggles and TNVC

Everyone is different but the majority of guys (including myself) would rather have a lower/average spec bino than a higher spec monocular. With these Night Goggles/TNVC offerings with Elbit XLSH WP tube’s, you’ll more than likely get “good” tubes but it’s possible to get “great” tubes. What...

Night Vision Crazy 4th of July sale at Night Goggles and TNVC

I'm 99.99% they are the XLSH's and that's most likely why he did the video to break down the minimum specs. To save people having to jump off the forum to watch the video. The minimums from the whiteboard in his video: Photocathode: 1350 min EBI: 2.5 Gain: 40-80k Halo: 1.25 Res lp/mm: 64 SNR...

Night Vision Crazy 4th of July sale at Night Goggles and TNVC

I believe it is just XLSH now but I'm not 100%. I don't believe it pertains to the phosphor color because that's usually in the numerical designation (F9800/9815 GP and F9400/9415 WP). ETA: I don't know if that's a change since Harris became Elbit or what the deal is (XLS to XLSH).
