Rifle Scopes March 1-10 Shorty Dual Focal - Reviews?

I received one of the March long scope rings today. I haven't mounted it yet. but it looks solid and well made. The 1.4" height might be a bit tall for my purpose, but would probably work well on an AR.

    Peened Case Mouths

You are probably either overloading your tumbler or running it too long. Unless the peening is extreme, a quick chamfer should take care of it.

NEW From Zermatt Arms - RimX Actions

IIRC, way back in the thread someone from Zermatt said that you didn’t need that much for a rimfire barrel. I think they said 30-50ft/lb, which is what I have been using.

    **6 Creedmoor**

When I first got my 6 Creed, I used large primer. Then small primer was easily available, I never really saw any performance difference. If you are shooting hot loads, there may be a benefit to small primer because pockets and web area have more material and should be more resistant to...

Lapua Testing - Midas vs Center-X

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Yes, they are metric.

Lapua Testing - Midas vs Center-X

IIRC, it is distance hit to hit. It's basically a measure of group size, or how much variation there is in sequential hits.

    Purchasing from GA Precision

I've got a couple rifles originally built by GAP and a rifle they re-barrelled. All great stuff, but I haven't done anything with them for quite a while because I couldn't get them to respond to messages. The last straw was I wanted to order a custom rifle and couldn't get them to take the...

Anyone here with a real fast twist 22lr?

I got my 1:9 Lilja barrel, but have only had the opportunity to shoot at 50/100yds. At that range, accuracy is pretty close to my standard twist Krieger barrel, with the Krieger maybe having a slight edge. Now that the holidays are over, I am hoping to get to shoot it at longer distances. I...

Lapua Testing - Midas vs Center-X

While I believe that Midas+ is generally graded better than CenterX, your results may differ depending on what lots are available at the time of testing. When I sent my gun to the test center about a year ago, the two best performing lots were CenterX, and they outperformed the lots of Midas+...

Fx120 and v3 auto trickler help

I’ve ordered spare cables a couple of times and they always shipped quickly. My guess is that he is just out of stock and you will get them when he has parts and they get built. You could always make your own, just use the connectors on the broken one and re-wire. But you need nimble fingers...

Best trigger for PRS style shooting

Personal preference. But personally I like the 2-stage, especially for awkward positions. I just like to feel the take up and be able to give it the last bit of pressure when the crosshairs get to the right place. But as you said, it needs to be heavy enough to avoid an accidental trip.

    New Labradar App now available

I’ve used it a couple times since the update. It seems like it doesn’t the connection when the phone sleeps, but the armed/disarmed can get out of sync and then it gets stuck. If you manually hit the button on the Labradar unit to make it the same status as hwon on the phone, it seems to...

Precision Rifle Gear ARCA bag options

I used the rail changer with the small game changer for a while, and it worked pretty well. But I switched to using a gray ops mini plate with a schmedium game changer attached and like it a lot better (but it is heavy)

    AR Dedicated.22LR and accuracy?

I had a Compass Lake upper years ago. It shot great, very accurate, but it used the old magazines that you insert into AR mags. I had regular feeding problems with them, could never seem to get them right. Not sure if they are using that same system now or not. I now have a JP 22 upper that...

Sidearms & Scatterguns Colt 1911Commemorative European Theater

I agree, but even still there are thousands of people in line to get them and pay those prices.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Colt 1911Commemorative European Theater

One other point of comparison: CMP is currently selling WWII 1911s for $850 n(rack garde) to $1050 (service grade. These are pieces that were used and cab be anything from beat up to repaired, probably will not have matching frames/slides and limited collector value (although there are some...

    Bullet Drop app questions

I do it from the center of the scope (turrets), but honestly I'm not sure if that is technically correct.
