Anyone familiar with the Colt Anaconda?

I answered yesterday --also in the ether. My two Officers model Match equaled the Python trigger , maybe a little better. I had one Anaconda that came close, and most likely could have been worked into being as good as the Python. The action was not quite as smooth as the OMM's or the Python...

Thoughts on the (old) Colt Anaconda

I have officers model match in 38 spl and 22. Also a few Pythons and one Anaconda. Toss up on the trigger in the OMM and the Python. The Anaconda was less pleasing, but mine was after the first edition. A friend had a first edition that the trigger was as good as my OMM's. Wanted to buy it...

I borescoped an unused cut rifled barrel: help me learn about what I'm looking at.

I've seen a lot worse looking than that shoot in the ones Winchester made a bunch in the 80- 90 that looked a bit better than my rear exit sewer that shot in the 2,s and 3,s.

I borescoped an unused cut rifled barrel: help me learn about what I'm looking at.

A few words to all you guys. I've looked at a shitload of barrels over the past 35 years, and I can tell you that images are not the end all. Some of the most miserable looking tubes are hummers and there is no discernable reason why. Oclusions, pits, supher voids, ---- all kinds of weird...

    Whidden dies

Well, I did not elaborate in our phone con, but the reason the coax exists is because of dies that are not straight to begin with. The whole reason to "float" the die is to make up for a porely made one. Is the price of a press really holding you back?
