Successful shooting sport organizations such as USPSA and IDPA have been through these types of situations. Both have been around a lot longer than PRS.
The common thing that keep these sports going and growing is being open and accessible to new shooters and keeping the dedicated competitor...
Thanks for the advice. That all makes sense to me. I’m going to plan on budgeting for MAWL. I know I’d end up with one anyway eventually. Next step is to try and link up with some local NV shooters or dealers so I can hopefully demo some of this stuff.
It’s difficult for me to jump in and spend...
I’ve been debating getting into NV.
I’ve just about talked myself into a quality PVS14 in 2021, but I can’t decide on a laser.
I’m torn between the following
Mawl
DBAL D2
CQBL-1 + IR Flashlight/Illuminator
PERST3
Grey Market Full Power whatever I can get my hand on
I probably won’t be...
I another AMG vote. Replaced a Cronus with an AMG. I still have he Cronus in the safe for a back or future rifle. Don’t expect a huge leap in optical performance. The Cronus punches abound it weight. The main benefits of the AMG is the weight savings and locking turrets. The parallax is much...
@RAVAGE88 I’m super curious about what features are coming in gen3. Im a big fan of a 60deg action since my primary rifle is a TRG. It’s probably the main reason I haven’t bought one yet.
Geissele makes a low National Match mount. 1.35” height.

I think Spuhr makes a mount that’s lower too.

I used the old school sight down the bore method at 100y too. Whenever I setup a new scope I bring a large white poster board to put my target on. If you can line the reticle and bore up on the center you should be able to dial in the zero in a few shots. Having a large clean backer is a big...
A 26” TRG barreled action should weigh about 6.5 lbs.
My TRG is in a KRG W3. I just weighed my factory stock/chassis. It was 4.25 lbs without the action.
There is nothing wrong with the factory base, however I prefer the Spuhr direct TRG dovetail Mount.
The benefit is eliminating the chance for the rail to come loose. It’s unlikely to loosen but I think removing the intermediate connection between the rifle and scope base is worth it.

If anyone is interested in a lightly used DMR2 Pro shoot me a PM. I’m getting ready to post it on the EE. It’s a great scope, but I need to thin herd in my safe before I buy more rifles...
