For a Vari X III 6.5x20X 50mm? It has target knobs now but would like something bigger and easier to turn around?
Does Leupold offer something along those lines or someone else?
For a 223 DPMS 24" barrel 1:8 varminter, 300-600 yard range?
Got now on it a Leupold 6.5x20 50mm now but hate the plain crosshair reticule and the little knobs and have another rifle better suited for that scope...
For a friend, that's her budget, she is new to F class and enjoys as well bench rest. Has to be 308 as other ammo here is very hard to get, range max is around 600 yards.
Has to be a "from the box" deal, there's no local gunsmith I could trust with installing pillars and doing a good bedding...
Finished build on a "budget" 223 rig intended for long range shooting, around 300-600 yards, upper is a 24" bull barrel DPMS which has a raised rail for mounting optics as this:
I was under the impression that this added height be beneficial in making better use of the scope's elevation...
Been offered one 1.5x4 which I would like to mount on a S&W 500 Magnum revolver, scope has been working fine on a Magnum 44 but I don't know the brand, how they compare to say Nikon, Leupold?
Been offered a LaRue 223 kit, rifle, leupold scope and many extras, 200 shots fired, for what seems a decent price to me(over $4 grand invested for $2,800) but I am not familiar with this brand, feedback will be appreciated.
I am kinda new to this, have a cheap rig and every once in a while I get to shoot at a ~1200 yard range and need a basic starting point here, we shoot at F class type paper targets both at 300 and 600 yards, metal plates at 600, 800 yards and then there are metal silhouettes at longer distances...
