Hello, I see you're in South Africa and I have no idea what bipods are available there, so I'll say that the Harris would be worth the extra cost over clones because of product support if anything were to go wrong.

That's pretty close. I had a similar issue when going with a straight 1.25" taper barrel for a recent build, and they wouldn't fit. If I remember I had 3mm clearance. I feel like I should still get higher rings.
