I snagged a SWFA 3-15 during the Black Friday sale, now I'm looking for mounts. I need 30mm to Weaver/Picatinny. I have a $50 Amazon gift card to use, so I'd like to find something on Amazon for around $100, but I'd be willing to stretch to $150. My "precision trainer" is a high end airgun, so...
Got SWFA's Black Friday email today and there's some deals on a couple scopes that I've been trying to decide on. It will be going on a high end PCP air rifle used for small game hunting. For all intents and purposes, treat it like a precision .22 trainer, for those that don't do the air rifle...
You talking about this one? https://www.eabco.net/Choate-Tactical-Stock-for-Savage-10110-Series-Rifles_p_14690.html I'm assuming I want the SA Centerfeed model? $199 for a full length block is amazing.
Thanks for the info guys! Looks like I'll be picking up a 4.4" centerfeed model. EJ1001 , I'm going to be mounting a SWFA 42mm scope in medium Talley 30mm rings. What rail/ring/scope combo are you running? How's the cheek weld? I want to spring for an adjustable comb model, but those are another...
Hey guys, sorry for the dumb-ass question, but I'm looking at starting a LR build off of a Savage 12FV (Cabela's exclusive) in 6.5 Creedmoor. I'm looking at aftermarket stocks, and I have a question about the fitment of a B&C Medalist #2...
I set myself up for that one... I have looked and everything seems okay. I also pushed a .243 cal cleaning attachment through to see if it was centered. Everything looks good.
I put a muzzle brake on my Ruger American Predator after my local gunsmith wanted $75 to time it. Everything looks okay, but I'm somewhat hesitant to put a round through it; in case the threads aren't perfectly concentric...
Disclaimer: I did not read the entire thread, nor do I have any actual experience with .308. However, in my recent thread about .308 handloads, due to the fact that I just obtained my first .308 rifle, I was recommended 168 gain Hornady Amax as a hunting load. Hornady recommends that you don't...
It is stupid IMO, but it is how a lot of budget optics are. I personally am going with a Mil reticle and Mil turrets on a SWFA 10x. That way I can just read the reticle like a chart and dial it up.
I don't mind meters and yards being used interchangeably in rough estimates, but when shooting a gun...whole 'nother story. I have IMR4350, IMR4381, Varget, and H414 available to me. Hornady and Nosler bullets are the easiest to find around here.
Thanks for the great information! I come from a high powered airgun hunting background, so maximum FPE is everything to me. I realize shot placement is critical (as it is with "wimpy" pellet guns) so I will keep that in mind. I can't drop the meters "crap". I was raised by a father who was...
