I handload 175 SMKs over 43.5 grains of IMR-4064 and had roughly estimated based on data from my reloading manual that the muzzle velocity was around 2625 FPS.     How to build good copper equilibrium in a barrel?

    Once you build a copper equilibrium, how do you clean the barrel without removing the copper? Do you just avoid using a copper solvent? Do factory Savage barrels tend to go less rounds between cleanings than say an upper end aftermarket barrel? Estimated round count???
