    Rifle Scopes What height rings for vrtx 4.5-27 and savage 12 LRP?

    I just mounted my Vortex 4-16x50 PST on my Savage Model 10P with a Deadnutz 20moa one piece mediums that have a height of 1.05" and i have about a 1/6" of an inch space, i would say you would need the 1.26" high, but i'm not sure if the 10 and 12 models are going to be different for you.

    Have you guys played with any other powders for 155grain and short 16-18" barrels? I'm about to dive in and am looking at IMR4895. Obviously powder selection to get my fps will be a big help. But the 155's seem the best way to go as well like the OP was questioning.
