I have a 26” Remington 700pss. I had it threaded and the smith screwed it up. I would like to cut it down to 18” or 20” at the most. I run 175smk’s in this gun and would like to keep using these. Will the factory 1-12 twist stabilize these bullets at this barrel length?

I’ve got a quick question, the loads I’ve seen for 77 gr smk are using a br4 primer. All I have are CCI 450’s. I’m loading this for a 16” 1 in 7” twist BCM AR-15. I was planning on running 24grains of varget. Given the magnum primer should I start lower?

Kifaru packs are hands down the best in my book, I’ve never had stone glacier. But have had mystery ranch. Most Kifaru models switch from day pack compressed mode to meat hauling quickly.

Good luck on your hunt. You can build a layering system from mountaineering brands/shopping sales etc. far cheaper than a matched set of Kuiu, Sitka or First Lite. I frequently buy used gear(except for baselyers)on face book groups, forums. Wool for next to skin base layer, lightweight...

Thanks for all the info! This is what I was hoping to find! The event is the lead farm fun run in northern Missouri. I am going to do the event in winter due to having problems dealing with hot weather. (Old construction worker haha).

That’s a great point don’t want a gun flying around. I’ve got a g-code holster that has strap type closure that holds the gun in place. I’ll put it on a belt and try running with it.
