Sorry, I got nothing. But my Midas trigger that I just received was out of the box about 800 to 820 grams (1 lb. 12 oz to 1lb 13 oz) for both stages combined. The feeling was great, only downside was that the trigger shoe failed to stay in place due to a problem with the clamping...
I'm curious about this as well. Have read a couple of good experiences with the IBI T1x barrel. Haven't seen much about the Lothar Walther barrel. Their specifications are slightly different, so far I have collected the following: International Barrels Inc. Canada Chamber: Calfee4 Material...
Picked up my Tikka T1x with 20" barrel last week and while waiting for the KRG Bravo chassis and Sterk upgrades I'm going to test it in it's factory configuration :) Seriously considering getting an IBI 20" barrel but going by what I read in the thread from @Kisssofdeath that is something I'll...
I got the Tactical Ordnance Inc (from Canada) 30 MOA rail and it's build like a tank. Would take either the Tacord or Area419 rail, both good stuff! Oh, the Tacord rail is a bit taller than the Area 419 rail which is really low profile.
I too noticed that the ballistic calculators tell me the stability is marginal at around 1.3 SG but they still seem to fly straight and not tumble to their destination. IBI seems to do a 1-16 twist which is marginally faster than the 1-16.5 twist that Tikka uses. I read about @padom doing...
@Massoud Could you please elaborate on these other adjustments of the Midas trigger? I know it's been a year ago already, but I haven't been able to find better info than here in the hide.
@Massoud is the diagram you refer to the one in the manual as published on the KRG website? And am I correct to interpret your answer as 2.5lbs for both the first and second stage, or both stages combined?
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that the gyroscopic stability increases at distance because the velocity decreases fast but the spin rate stays relatively the same. As long as the twist is fast enough to stabilise the projectile the first meters/yards it should not pose a problem...
Interesting! So that means the receiver is just a tad shorter than the AXMC. Have you been able to run a go/no-go gauge to determine whether this will cause issues?
Has anyone with both the AXSR and AXMC compared the two regarding weight? Possibly without barrels or with the same barrel :) (No optics/mounts and goodies attached or exactly the same;)) I'm curious how the AXMC and AXSR/AXMk3 compare.
Nice, but it looks like a tight fit ;) Just to be sure, the AI USA AXSR rifle has a 20MOA Action Rail where the AI UK AXMC and AXMK3 rifle has a 30MOA Action Rail, correct? I think @NoLegs24 and/or another Tangent Theta owner said they used a SP-4302 mount with their TT525P because of that.
