I have a MWS with two barrels. A 16” SS and a 20” SS. There are different length gas tubes for each barrel with the 20” barrel having a rifle length tube. I’ve never had a malfunction with an MWS but there is always discussion about rifle being over-gassed with a standard 16” barrel. I’ve not...
Isn’t the MAIN reason people love the Scar 17 the weight savings, followed by a compact size? I’m sure the 20s will have Scar 17 reliability, but I think FN states all that increase only gets you to 1 MOA or so. Looks like it will come in around 11lbs without optics.

I don’t particularly want to trade my Scar heavy, but I have a chance to trade it for a GAP built Templar action, with a 24” Bartlein barrel, in a McMillan M40A3. I realize the GAP is worth more, but money doesn’t always equal a good trade..... Thoughts?
