    Brass issue

Ok, thanks. I'll try to cut a case open to see if the inside has any deformities too. I'm already at the starting charge weight per Hodgdon load data. (23.0 gr). The pressure issue has me worried the most. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Brass issue

I use a machined brass sleeve slid over a fired case shoulder. Measure that length, then measure a sized case with the same sleeve. It measures .002" shorter after FL sizing. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Brass issue

Sticky extraction on occasion but not always. Don't look like this before loading mag. Come out of the chamber like this after first firing. I think the bore may be tight. Unsized virgin brass without a bullet chambers with resistance, bolt close feels tight. The early pressure signs with...

    Brass issue

Once fired brass looks like this with 3 brands of brass, 3 types of powder, and 95 TMKs, 87 Berger VLD-Hs, and 95 VLD-Hs. Again, it does this with recommended starting load volumes and primers show pressure in short order. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    Brass issue

Happens with Lapua, Winchester, and Federal brand cases. It's 223 Rem brass necked up to 6x45. Primers start showing pressure signs at least 2 grains below listed max loads. Anything much higher than starting charge weights begin to flatten primers. It's even pierced a few primers at 1.5 gr...

    Brass issue

I'm getting a ring imprinted on my brass that only goes half way around the case. This happens after firing. It is not present when it first comes out of the FL sizing die. It appears after firing leading me to think that the rifle chamber may be causing the blemish to appear. Image of sized...

    AW Mag Availability? WTF Over!

Think of it this way: When a new iPhone hits the market, the demand around the globe is much higher and Apple has no trouble producing enough phones to satisfy consumer demand. If they were produced by the firearms industry, the wait would be eternal. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

    AW Mag Availability? WTF Over!

Why can't production of H4350 meet demand? Why was there a shortage of .22 ammo for several years? Seems the firearms and shooting industry has a big problem in the area of supplying the demand of consumers. I can't understand why shooting sport manufacturers can't produce enough product to...

    7mm-08 vs 6.5mm for hunting

I love all the 6.5s but I've got a soft spot for the 7mm-08. I've had a few and most have been real hammers. The 7mm-8 affords a great bullet selection to choose from and terminal performance is excellent. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
