Mine kept loosening off to so I lock tited them. I might have to see if I can modify them to not rotate.

The flush cups on the butt stock of the DT's are the rotating type, is there a good option to switch to something non-rotating?

I was thinking of doing something like that. If you could fill the gap behind the lugs it would be locked in. Have you done this before? What compound would you use? I would think it would have to be something that isn't very runny.

Thanks guys, I will make sure the rail isn't to narrow.

Has anyone had an issue with there scope mount moving on there rail? I have a NX8 4-32 in a NF uni-mount and I could see a bit of a rub mark in the ceracote on the rail so I checked the torque on my rail and it was good. I then backed off the cross bolts and the scope was against the rear of...

My coal with 75gr eldm's is 2.415 and I was supposed to have the long range chamber. That puts the bullet pretty deep in the case.:(

Do you know what your coal is with the 75gr eldm touching the lands? What kind of jump have you had success with? I am supposed to have the long range chamber in mine but the 75gr eldm seems to be seated pretty deep in the case at the lands.

I was keeping an eye on that and there wasn't any for the first 20 rounds or so. I haven't checked it after my last couple range trips, but I will take a look. It is a side port brake as well so that would help.

Ran a ladder test with H1000 and 230 Atips in the 300NM. Went from 80gr to 85.6gr in .4gr increments. Velocity went from 2550fps to 2745fps. There was a faint ejector mark at 85.6 but felt nothing on bolt lift or extraction. I don't think I will run any higher than that. Lapua brass can take...

Have you seen the SAC one? If it is the one I remember it is shaped like a traditional rifles recoil pad.

I like the design and shape of the factory DT pad. It really fits in the pocket well for me. I just wish it was a little softer. They should have addressed that on the A2.

Rails on the bottom is no problem but the barrel is quite a bit closer to the top of the handguard.

There is defiantly more blast than my 300 NM in a standard rifle with a 26" barrel but its not bad for the shooter. If cans were legal in canada I would have one for sure.

Hard to say since those are starting loads. I will see where pressure is and then of course where it wants to shoot. I think realistically it will likely push the 230 atip at 2650 to 2750. The 230 atip has a g7 bc of .421 so with a baro pressure of 29.92 and a temp of 59 degrees your still...

I shot ten barrel break in shots in my 18" 300NM barrel today. I shot one and clean for six shots and copper fouling dropped off between the 5th and 6th so I shot the last four then cleaned. There was almost no copper after the four consecutive shots as well. 215 bergers at 20 thou off the...
