Schmidt & Bender make a great rifle scope, no doubt about it, but they have had some problems in the last few years -listening and hearing the U.S. market = reticle and feature design wasn't up to par with the competition -eroding warranty - warranty went from life time to 2 years, it's back...

it's just like anything else, everyone has a preference. I would use one on a budget build, but it isn't my favorite.

the 1-8 is visible in daylight, the rest not so much.

i really like those mounts, i use the rings too, they have always done well and I don't hesitate to recommend them.

glass quality is closer to the viper hd line, probably a little better than viper level though.
