Thank you for the feedback! Do you feel the 25-60x eyepiece is usable with eyeglasses when sitting or standing? That is nice that they offer the long eye relief 25x eyepiece.
I'm looking for a nice spotting scope for long range shooting (not hunting, weight/size doesn't matter). I've been using a $100 Bushnell for 10 years and I'd like to replace it with something quality. I was looking at the Kowa TSN-883 after watching this comparison video: I see they're going...
Never mind, but thank you anyway. I was looking at the Plan A XL that has a weird shape instead of the normal Plan A. I ended up going with Ecco's system. They received my AAC this week, so hopefully I'll have it back in a few weeks.
Just got the email that it's my turn...I decided to go with Ecco's bravo adapter and their Gyrex Taper Mount Helix Port Brake. It looks like a solid design for repeatable POI. https://www.eccomachine.net/product/gyrex-taper-mount-helix-port-brake/
I plan to send my AAC SDN6 to Ecco Machine to have the 51t mounting system removed, as it's increasing my group sizes. Which bravo pattern mount do you recommend, direct thread or one of the below? I want something with a consistent POI/precision. I...
I believe they have a 6 month wait right now, but I don't think you send in your suppressor until it's your turn. I think I read the work takes a couple weeks, but maybe someone else can chime in.
I'm looking at Ecco's own taper mount brake and adapter now. The brake has a taper in front of the threads, similar to the cherry bomb, but has wrench flats. https://www.eccomachine.net/product/gyrex-taper-mount-helix-port-brake/
These are pics of my AAC SDN6 with probably 2k-3k rounds of 55gr .223 out of an 11.5" AR. Does this baffle wear look normal? I've never looked at them before to be honest.
Anyone have experience with YHM's mounts? Looks like they utilize a taper in front of the threads, plus a tooth collar, and have wrench flats unlike the Q cherry bomb.
@J-Hon have you found the Q cherry bomb to be the best taper design? Repeatable POI shift? The same or better than direct thread? Ecco quoted $65 for a cherry bomb adapter; only $5 more than the direct thread adapter. I like the idea of the taper protecting the threads from carbon locking.
I wasn't sure if hanging 21+ oz off the end of this light profile barrel would be detrimental to accuracy, and by cutting it shorter I would be making it stiffer/more accurate? Or, if having the suppressor would increase velocity to the point that I could cut the barrel shorter and essentially...
