I read the books years ago and the first season followed the book almost to a tee. However, the second season was a totally different. Poe wasn't in it, neither was Falconer. There were ideas in the show that were in the book but they never explained or expounded on them. This is what the...
Yes, it doesn't work on the Grayboe. I've tried three different 700 stocks and four different DBMs, INCLUDING Seekins own DBM (the new version) and they don't work on any of the stocks I have other than the one the HAVAK came with. I had to shave down the mag release for it to work but now...
Yep, a few of us had the same issue with three different Rem 700 aftermarket stocks. What I did was to file down the magazine catch in the DBM so that the mag would sit a little lower. It worked but not sure why we would have to do this to a Rem 700 profiled action. And I had the same issue...

Thank you! It's made by AG Composites for Stocky's. It's called the STS. I had to make some minor modifications so the action would fit, such as the bolt release and I widened the ejection port. I also did the cut out in the cheek piece. All of that was fairly easy.
Well after one stock didn't work and my trials and tribulations with the second stock (AG Composites Carbon Fiber) and the fact that the Havak is slightly different than the standard Rem 700 profile, I finally got everything worked out and completed.
I think the CF stock is easier and cheaper. I only know of proof and Christensen Arms are the only guys making CF wrapped barrels and they are expensive. And I know Seeking uses Rock Creek barrels and Seeking does the profiling which I assume because they want to control that part.
How light do you want? And what Caliber? I have the HP PRO 1 and in the middle of swapping out the stock to a Carbon fiber stock. Once I get it all together I'll weigh it but I am betting it's around 9lbs w/o scope. But the barrel is a much heavier contour than the hunter spiral barrel.
I believe they brought a straight flutted barrel to SHOT this year and will be offering it but I think only to start in their high end Havak yet to come.
