Just took delivery of a MK4 Spotter that he sold me. Super responsive guy who was very nice and easy to deal with. Shipped my scope the very next day and followed up with a tracking number immediately. Good people and I'd be happy to do business with him again any time.
I have. Tracks really well. Consistent return to zero, and well within my measuring capabilities to say it tracked 100% over the 5 mils I had space to track it. One of my favorite scopes out there for the "budget" buyer.
I do not snipe. Given enough rounds, I can usually hit what I'm aiming at. I don't handgun much, but I think 2018 is the year that I shoot some pistol matches and knock the rust off. I carry every day rain or shine. Full size M&P 9 (the no safety model) -Trijicon HD Night Sights -Apex Forward...
I have an A3 Sporter that's quite nice, but I've found that the LOP is a touch short for prone work. Feels really nice off a tripod or seated. I think the comb height is a little low, but I run all my adjustable cheek rests pretty high so I probably have a weird face. My next rifle will be using...
After the third or fourth time that I couldn't swim at the 24 hr fitness pool because floaty time (water aerobics) was happening, I gave up on trying to be a swimmer and returned to the weight room. There, I found that the singular squat rack for the whole gym was really only available from 2:00...
I started using a havalon a few seasons ago and I won’t go back to anything else. If I have a gut hook with me, I’ll use it. But otherwise, the Havalon does everything I need.
I am not familiar with the two companies you linked to, but I can comment on Proof and Shilen. I have a 28" Proof in 7mm Rem Mag that shoots Black Hills 162 A-Max at 1.5 MOA and Black Hills 139 GMX at 1 MOA. I put together some loads with Nosler 120 BTs and 175 Accubond LRs and both are...
I own a TBAC Ultra 7 30 cal (brake attach) and a Dead Air Sandman S. I love both of them, but they really do serve different roles for me. The Ultra is an amazing precision rifle silencer but TBAC makes warnings about not overheating it so I keep it off my gas guns. Otherwise, unbelievable can...
Disclosure - Haven't shot it I did take a look at the first three that came off the line when they were bedding them. It's an AO barreled action bedded perfectly in a good stock with a nice DBM. I have an AO built rifle that hammers. I'm not alone. If I were in the market for a comp rifle on a...
I've hunted with a .243 for going on 15 years. I love it and I'll keep that rifle around forever. It's a pussycat and I can't wait for my son to start hunting with it. That said.... my next hunting rifle is going to be in a 6.5. There's no replacement for displacement and the extra 40-50 gr...
On more than one occasion, I've resorted to drilling with a left hand drill bit. Two things can happen: 1.) The bit gets enough grab that it works the screw loose 2.) You remove the screw head enough to get the base out of the way and use vice grips for the rest It's not my first choice, but a...
"No Middle Name" is a lot of fun. There's no worry about plot or flow - just Reacher headbutting people and being a quasi hobo. It almost seems to be a collection of stories that Lee Child couldn't make into a complete book, so he just put them together in a collection of short stories. I also...
Having been burned on the first MINI, I purchased every warranty and service contract available and told my wife that we’d keeo the car as long as those were in place. MINI service was absolutely awful BTW. Kinda odd since they’re a BMW company. Had a terrible time getting loaners, updates on...
A second MINI after the first one puked up 3 transmissions in 20K miles. She had it bad for the Countryman S and I couldn’t say no. Like the first MINI, it also spent a lot of its life in the shop. i was beyond happy to finally punt it. Now she drives a diesel Merc and we’re both happier.
