Looks like the Nucleus bolt head will fit in the Archimedes but not the other way around. Has ARC/Ted said anything regarding that topic? Nucleus on the left, Archimedes on the right. These are 0.535" (nucleus) and 0.378" (archimedes) bolts.
Yes, this is something I demonstrated when I installed the barrel and the firing pin stopped falling when closing the bolt. I want to be clear, when my Nucleus + TT without barrel installed firing pin dropped it was ONLY when running the bolt very hard/fast and even then it was not repeatable...
Huh. My Accurate Mags work fine in a Nucleus, maybe they're out of spec... Or maybe the magpul mags are a little thick around the feed lips and need to be sanded down a to fit some actions using AICS pattern stocks. From the Magpul product page: PLEASE NOTE: Not compatible with smaller base...
RH Short action SN 5x configured in 6.5 creedmoor with a triggertech diamond and 16# spring. 600 rounds on it in all weather conditions, dry and dusty 95+ degrees to wet and snowy 25 degrees to cold and windy -25 degrees. No issues with primers. I haven't had to clean the bolt/firing pin any...
Cool. Thanks. I guessed somewhere around 0.269" for about 0.002" tension but without having fired brass in hand it's tough to guess. My typical experience with Lapua brass is to add 0.028" to the bullet diameter then subtract desired tension.
Delivered to my FFL yesterday. Just have to go pick it up sometime. Nucleus barreled action rh. Did you check to make sure your FFL information was all sent out to PVA? I think that was part of my problem. Had my FFL send their info and got the shipping notice the following week.
Preordered, Nucleus SN 55, received in July'18. 340 rounds total, 40 of those today in 20*F weather. No failures to ignite. TriggerTech Diamond. Original 16lb spring. Cleaned/lubed the firing pin with Hornady 1shot and left it alone. No issues to date with this Nucleus fire control group.
