Oh I agree 110%. I normally prefer better receivers. For my 5.56 setups I run Seekins or DD. But I got the M5 lower to match an M5 upper that a good friend built for me and it matches. Otherwise I would lean more towards an SP10 or a REPR. But I figured I would work with what I have to make it...

That is a good point. Not to mention there is also taking a ton of time to research which high-end parts work best with the M5.

Would Geissele or LMT AR15 kits work with the M5 lower minus the bolt catch and pivot pin? I am thinking about all pins, detents and springs that go with it also.

Do any reputable manufacturers make a crushed tungsten filled rifle length buffer for the AR15? Something similar to Spikes Tactical tungsten carbine buffer but in rifle length? Been hunting around and haven't found much.

I can see the advantages they were going for in their overall design and performance, and it was by no means lagging anywhere except in the financial department.
