I like the idea of a 9mm bolt gun. I however think it is oversized on a 700 platform. I am working on a Remington 582 9mm conversion that I believe is a much more appropriate sized action.
The l461 was chambered in 223 length cartridges, where as the l491 was chambered in 222 Remington mag length cartridges. Both would make fine small action builds.
As stated before the Midas-TAC has HD glass and the Ares BTR and ETR both have ED glass. I believe they are close in picture quality between the BTR and Midas-TAC because the Midas is using a 4 power magnifier where is the BTR is using a 6 power magnifier. It is easier to get a good picture with...
What works for you? Don’t forget that generally speaking MOA scope resale is not as good as MILL scopes. And if you give the HIDE vendors a call you can get a great deal on lots of optics, not to mention the classified section here on he Hide.
For starters 1 MOA is not .25 or 1” at 100 yards it is 1.047” at 100 yards. Then there is the fact that there are scopes that say .25” at 100 and in fact are adjusting in true MOA or vice versa true MOA reticle and shooter MOA turets meaning adjusting at .25” at 100. It’s just a Cluster Cluck.
