Thanks. It does make it pretty portable. I’m trying to build a few other props that I can either fold up or take down and put together at the range with very little trouble.
I saw these plans awhile ago on another page and decided to make one. I really like it. It’s easy to fold down and throw in the back of a car or truck. It works great.
Vortex warranty service is second to none. I’ve used it once on a PST I dropped and broke my elevation dial. I had a new one in hand in about a week and that includes shipping both ways.
I second the WARNE rings too if you don’t want to go with a rail system. I also had the same issue with my 300 wby ultralight. I put the WARNE rings on and torqued to spec and have never had an issue since.
I have one a 300 wby mark V ultra lightweight. It works great on that rifle. My 3 shot groups dropped from about an 1” to around 3/4” just from less recoil. It also got rid of the muzzle rise I would get being that the rifle and scope only weight around 8lbs. I’ve probably put 200 rounds down...
