    Kicking around an idea

I’m developing the load for my rifle and had an idea. After I get the load figured out, and start dialing in my scope, I’ve thought about checking my zero against a Lead Sled or a version that comes from Hyskore that includes the rest and a remote firing device with tubing and a a syringe type...

I appreciate that. Thank you for yours as well !

    Cold bore question

Thank you for your reply. I guess my question is more about the general procedure for cold bore data, then it is about this particular rifle. I carried an M-24 in the Army but got injured and got out in ‘02. So it’s been 20 years since i have gotten this involved/technical with LR shooting...

    Cold bore question

I’ll do that. I do that each morning with my handgun that I carry, but not with my rifle. I’ll give that a try this week

    Cold bore question

Thanks for your response. I’m going back to the range this week to eliminate it being myself or cold bore or clean bore. I just couldn’t remember what all I had logged as far as cold bore info, all those years ago

    Cold bore question

I have a question and for the life of me I can’t remember the answer so I thought I’d ask the SMEs here. I got a new rig all set up, got my load figured out for it and am starting a data book for it. I don’t compete at all, but may in the future. When logging your cold bore shots, do you need...

    Atlas bipod

I wish they had a 5H model that did not pan. I like how the rifle “sits down in it”. I also like that Spartan Valhalla. Being a disabled vet and single father, the CAL is more wallet friendly for me LOL

    Atlas bipod

I’ve definitely decided to go with Atlas, now to just choose which model LOL. For some reason, I keep going back to the CAL

    Atlas bipod

Since they are bidirectional, I don’t think it matters. I’m not an expert on atlas by any means, but I think it would boil down to user preference. If you want the pan/cant lock facing you, or facing the muzzle. What side you want any quick release on …….etc.

    Atlas bipod

I probably could have worded my original question better.

    Atlas bipod

I didn’t say anything about mounting one backwards. Some models, if not all models of atlas bipods, once mounted, can have the legs folded in both directions. Forward and backwards. I simply asked if you can put a load on those bipods since they fold both directions, or would they collapse under...

    Atlas bipod

No worries, I’ve seen it also. My so called gun expert friend had his mounted backwards and didn’t believe me when I told him. Shoulda seen his face at the range when he got behind his brand new rifle and he loaded the bipod.

    Atlas bipod

Mine don’t. I know how to mount them, I just never used a bipod whose legs could be folded front and back. Wasn’t sure if that ability to do so, prevented it from being loaded in your firing position, because of collapsing. Didn’t know how the legs locked in place.

    Army Sniper Association

Does anybody know what the status is with the association? I’ma lifetime member and have emailed the association a couple times and have received no response in over a year. The head honchos at OSOK Apparel told me that they have all but stopped dealing with them due to the administrators going...

    Atlas bipod

Wanting to upgrade the bipod on my RPR. Have been thinking of going with an Atlas. My question is, can you put any forward load on the bipod in your shooting position, without the legs folding back on you? If this has been discussed previously, I apologize., but I found nothing in my searches.

    Building the Perfect Reloading Room

I just have to get a couple small things now. Need a new digital scale (been comparing those and reading reviews). That’s about it. There’sa couple things that I want, but don’t necessarily need. I load for my 6.5 Creedmoor, a buddies .308, and every now and then, 357 for my dad. Eventually I...

    Building the Perfect Reloading Room

I’ve been slowly getting my setup together. I’m working with a limited budget being a disabled vet and a single father to a five year old but it’s coming along. Bench on the left is for all the press work, the one on the right is for case prep and weapons maintenance. I mainly load for rifle so...
