Proof SS or Wilson combat super sniper

No, I was not aware that they had been sold; thanks for that info & update. MM

Proof SS or Wilson combat super sniper

Hard to argue with this; I have some Craddock's (not RTR's, but same blanks) & they shoot very well. But I also have 2 of the lightweight, 16" WC barrels that I put on light builds not expecting too much, but both have turned out to be right at MOA guns. No experience with the Super Sniper...

    Best flow through suppressor

I don't have the Flow 556k, but I do have the 556Ti, so I cannot compare the 2, but IMHO, the 556Ti still needs ear pro for more than a few rounds. Pew data, if you can believe it, shows the Ti version to have better sound suppression than the Flow 556k version. I also have the 762Ti but have...

    Best flow through suppressor

If you want quiet, for both the shooter & the audience, & if you believe the PEW data, the Hux 762 Ti & 556 Ti are right at the very top of the heap on AR's. Small DB differences like 3-5 are nearly impossible to distinguish by ear, so it take instrumentation to be able to split the hairs. PEW...

    Optics Advice for AR-15

If you want an LVPO, then buy one of many; I like the Sig Tango's. If you want something a bit bigger, the Nightforce SHV 3-10 is my favorite step up option. MM

    Looking for a truck gun

And it'll never be anything but a pistol, with all of a pistol's limitations.......................those don't go away just because it's a 5.56. MM

    Looking for a truck gun

Yep, I'll take that any day; I have Sylvan folding stock adapters on a couple as well. They work fine for reducing length for transportation if that's a consideration as well. MM

    Looking for a truck gun

That looks to be the best deal going right now for someone who doesn't care to build. Helluva a good deal. MM

    Looking for a truck gun

My "truck" gun (actually any vehicle) is a 14.5" Geiselle Super Duty with a 1-8x Sig LPVO. I don't want a pistol & I don't want an SBR; the 14.5" is good enough at any kind of CQB & can easily handle 250 yd engagements, or longer, if you know your dope & are capable. JMHO, YMMV MM

Badlands "Shell Shock" 5.56 - snake oil?

The data for the BlackArc stuff is very impressive, but the real question is how much pressure can the AR platform receiver& bolt really take over the long run, & I've never seen that published anywhere. Even given the additional 8% case capacity, the pressure would still have to be something...

    PVA now offering AR15 barrels!

Does anyone have a series of 5x5's or several 10 shot groups with these barrels? 3 shot groups might be an indicator, but surely need some additional verification. MM

    Thinking about another new can.

Not really sure why you want something different in flow design & sound suppression are your needs.................the Hux Flow 762 is really hard to beat in those 2 areas. YMMV MM

    adjustable gas block

Same here, of their better version & their basic (set & forget) version. They works just fine & were the "cheaper" ones I referred to in my earlier post. MM

    adjustable gas block

SLR for me, all day, every day. Whenever you go to the range, turn it up & down a few click & it won't freeze up, but it comes apart easily to clean. But honestly, all the AGB's I've used, even some cheap ones, have worked just fine. A little high temp anti seize on the adjustment screw helps...

Is bedding the AR barrel a myth? What's the best way?

Well, you can call it differential, or whatever you choose; to my thinking, it shows a definitive, quantitative change from un-bedded. But I'll say again, there are enough really good uppers that will make up to a thermal fit with a typical barrel extension, so no "goop" is required at all...

1/2 moa to 3-4 moa. Help

Might be worthwhile checking your barrel nut for tightness too, but more likely optics related.. MM

Is bedding the AR barrel a myth? What's the best way?

Well, if you replace either or both of the parts, then "the gun" would no longer be "the gun", but now "another gun", wouldn't it. The only way to be able to know whether "bedding" helps a given barrel / upper, is to shoot the combination in question un-bedded, shoot enough data points to...

Is bedding the AR barrel a myth? What's the best way?

How many different "goops" have you personally used on how many different rifles? And yes, I do agree with the fact that the shooter & the ammo can, & usually does, over ride most gains from bedding.....................very few shooters are 1/2" capable, much less 1/4"..................ditto...

Is bedding the AR barrel a myth? What's the best way?

Too many "smart" people either don't get this or they simply don't understand the concept & try to overthink it. By far, the easiest method is to use a thermofit upper, like BCM, SanTan, or Cross Machine...............if one of those can't satisfy you, then 620 is your friend. IMHO, SanTan &...
