The 280 Sherman will push a 180 well past 3000 with a 180. It uses the same brass as the A.I. and in fact, you can easily fire form the A.I. brass. The case has less taper than the A.I. and shoulder is forward but still has a .310" length. I have reamers and dies in stock also.
Thx for the ad Wolf. I'd like to make a correction and comment. The case capacity on the SS is only 72 grains with the new /B chamber which is about a grain less than the saum and maybe 9-10 short of the wsm depending on brass. Also, if handloaded, the saum will come pretty close to SS velocity...
Weve learned to keep the load down the first firing because you get false pressure readings due to the case moving in the chamber. Not good for case stretching either.
We've seen SEVERAL proof barrels that pressure up early! When they're good, they're good, but Ive not seen others five lower velocity with similar loads!
I am a new member and posted under same but was told to move the thread here. My name is Rich Sherman and am the designer and developer of the Sherman cartridge lines based on the LA 270W case and the SA Saum case. I have chamberings in 6 mm thru 35...
Dave....I am very interested in this cartridge Could you send me a reamer print please. I spoke to you a few years back about my 30/374 version....Rich Sherman
 Yes, the shoulder needs to be formed. I do plan on a yearly supply but will have some prepped Norma, at least for a while. For the most part, that's true but I may do some special orders?
Hi guys! I've been out of touch for a bit so I will try to get up to speed. If I miss any info that you need, just sing out. The ADG brass is now being offered for pre order for $250/100. Everything that I have heard is it is excellent quality. It will all come properly head spaced and stamped...
