    "Back Yard" testing with 24hr soaked, dripping wet newspaper, while not perfect... can be enlightening.     I believe the Hornady bullets are the newer "Aeromatch" line. This is for the cannelure version.

    I like the SLR "linear" adjustments. For me, the adjustments are far easier to tune. I will second what TonyAngel said about maintenance, however, all mine have been set and forget. IE, the various ones I have , are happy at 6 clicks open from closed ( of 15 clicks to wdie open available ) ...

    I'd say you certainly got your got your moneys worth. Is this the "2700 FPS" load, or the "2550 FPS" load ? .. I couldn't quite tell from your chrono numbers.

    I prefer to assm. uppers with accuracy being preferred... and BA / Aero barrels tend to be a "hit or miss" in that dept. A respected barrel is a inexpensive cost , compared to the ammo's cost used during a barrels life... so why not buy a better barrel for about a $120 dollars. We all are...
